I predict two jobs. So it will be even in the job list and not have one odd row in Status-Job Levels. ;0

If they intend to continue making expansions for as long as people still are interested in the game, as they said in the recent interview, then they probably do not want to use up all the job ideas so quickly, but pace them out.

I just hope whatever it is, it's something totally unknown and unpredicted so far.

I know a guy on the inside, who's a friend of a GM on Ramuh and he was saying that SE is just going to let players start using the job "chocoknight". From what I hear, its going to be about the same as a drg, lance and everything but that instead of having a tiny little dragon follow you around, you have a giant, RAM killing 20 ft tall choco who changes colors and blends into the background at times walking around with you, murdering everything in sight. The only drawback I hear is that you have to carry 20 stacks of choco greens for it to eat every 4 hours and if you don't feed it, you just die. And yes, it will be a tank, and the choco can heal and cast choco spells so you can also be a main dd mage and a main healer without any reluctance.

As for question, No, Saturday may reveal a new job, and fan-fest may reveal another (or two..who knows).

As for the tank situation..

You guys DO know WAR/MNK was one of the original tanks alongside PLD right?, WAR/MNK was tanking long before Ninja was released and there was never a problem, no "war isn't a good tank without /nin" is a kinda...dumb thing to say, it was a pretty damn good tank without /nin and could still be as such, but alas this is the international FFXI community we're talking about...NA/EU base has their thoughts...JP have their thoughts...and the thoughts conflict so "just sub nin on every job" is the result.

Why don't people..you know, actually think that SE could introduce a NEW job to the FF universe? They have for the past 20 years ish, and Puppetmaster doesn't count, as it was a play on a "job" that already existed and I don't mean Necromancer, ws Necromancer appeared in FF for the first time in FFVa.

Honestly though, we don't need a new tank job, and the common excuse is:

"Everyone's leveled PLD and Nin"

...Then why can you rarely find one? The real saying is:

"Everyone bandwagoned bard, red mage and warrior".

We have 3 perfectly fine tanking jobs in the game already, we don't need more, we need more people playing the ones that exist, most people only take the Ninja job to 37 for Utsu Ni, if you want to get technical, there's 5 tank jobs in the game, using the basis spawned Ninja tanks:

Samurai
Warrior
Paladin
Ninja
Monk

Do we really need a new tank job that people will just toss to the back burner or make them a DD if they want to party ala PLD in higher levels? Seriously, most people know that will happn, so regardless if we get "Mystic Knight" it will suffer the same fate of PLD, or WAR, sub NIN and DD.

maybe the Mascot class will cheer things up. and maybe they could do stuff like multiply each drop the mob drops so everyone gets one of each treasure, triple the gil, and maybe some crazy random effects like ReRaise IV x2 (stacked), making Mascot the only job that can stack effects that normally can't be stacked.
