ways to remove petrification?

Quick question, is there any way to remove petrification without using stona? I checked ffxicopedia and all it says is stona, and im hoping there's a potion or something that'll take care of it.

im level 33 whm and when our puller gets petrified it really sucks.

Unfortunately, Stona is it. What are you fighting that is petrifying your tank so often?

I don't think there is. I could've sword I'd seen a 'needle' type healing item once, but I guess I didn't. Odd, seeing as we have items for most other maladies. Remedy doesn't work on it, I don't think. Can you use pots on other people? Maybe that's why, since you can't act while petrified.

I don't know why I said tank when I meant puller. A petrified puller would be bad news tho.

There are cactuar needles, but they're completely useless last I checked.

How is your puller even getting petrified in the first place?

I want to know this as well. The only way this should happen is if you're pulling an NM or something else like the scorpion pets in Dynamis-Bastok that can cast Break or Breakga.

Ordinary enemies like lizards and cockatrice use a standard TP move gaze attack, or the Petrifying Lance attack from those guys in Lumoria (I think it's Aern DRGs that have this).

Leviathan's Spring Water will also heal petrification but that's not available until Lv47 ...

PUP, with Automaton using Soulsoother Head also should have access to Stona at Lv.40-ish? (OK, so that's still a Stona, but at least it's a novel source. >_>; )

Doesn't erase remove it? a level 32 whm spell.

I'm pretty sure Erase only removes status that don't have another method of being removed.

Correct. Erase does not remove statuses that already have another spell to remove them.

Even if you did have an item to remove Stona with, how would you use it since you are petrified!!?
