Hi all
Im new to the game and i was wondering what server would be best to play on?
I'm just looking for a server with allot of population that play on Eu time
I play on Gmt+01:00 eu
Maybe someone could help me out? thanks ^^

There should be significant number European players on every World by now, and I doubt anyone here has gone to every one of them to survey the how many people play at what time of the day. ^_^;

Do you have friends who already play? If so, I'd recommend joining them Better yet, bring friends of your own, and pick a World to begin your adventures together.

Hi! yeah i checked midgar and asura and it seemed that asura have the most players
So i think ill join that one
My friends don't play ff tho most of them are wow fanatics or don't like mmorpg xD

Btw i have some other questions ^^
I found out how to walk open menu's and stuff
And i selected Black mage as an job but i really wanna try and get the summoner job cause it looks really cool :D
Anyways im still lvl 1 and was wondering how do i get other magic spells then stone?
Also when i created my character the graphics seemed better when i created him then it is ingame or is that normal? :O

Spells are acquired in various ways. Black, Red and White Mages learn their spells from scrolls, which can be purchased from NPCs or the Auction House. Or you can earn them by defeating enemies, or completing quests.

Here is a page all about Black Mage. There you will find a description of the job, as well as a list of all of it's spells. Click on the link for each spell to discover where you can acquire it. Always try to purchase a spell from the NPC if you can, as it will generally be cheaper.

anyways do you guys also know where i can start doing missions? or am i too low lvl? and how do i make money cause i wanna buy a water scroll on lvl 5

Stack and sell everything but..the mobs dont drop anything well ive had one drop until now thats some flickers but they are worth 5g X_X thanks for the link ^^

I started in bastok and im lvling uh south i think
Im killing Worms and Hornets but i need to go past those and start killing some tougher mobs cause these give crap exp now

Bees drop honey and beeswax, both of which should sell decently.

bees are right outside the town, but the ones you want to hunt are up on the hill. Look at your map, it's really easy to find.

And a side note, be sure you sell the bee drops on the auction house, not to NPCs. The AH will pay muchbetter.

Bees are a mob family that includes those hornets.

Choose mob family Bee and it will list ever Bee in vana'diel with it's level, zone and you can see what each one drops.

And for the love of all that is good and holy, keep Beastmen's Seals when you get them.

Compression Off, bump mapping On if your system can handle it.

I started in Bastok on Asura as well! Send a tell to Vaholla and tell him Evion sent you. How? Type: /tell vaholla (then type message). Anyway, You'll will start moving slowly west as your level increases. Try to stay away from the "turtle guys" until at least level 7-8. They and the Goblins will "aggro" you if they see you. Aggro=attack. The "lizard guys" are good for xp and soo are the Vultures. Stone Eaters die quick and give decent drops/xp. You need to go to the guard at the gate and get him to cast a "signet" on you. If you have that spell on you, you'll be able to get monsters to drop crystals (worth money) and build conquest points for your country. Save those points and buy an Empress Band from that same gaurd ASAP!!! GL dude...
