  • Salvage drop rates, whats your experience?

I recently joined a salvage LS, and its a pretty new group from what I can tell. We just completed our 3rd Salvage run, and got our first drop (Anu's Doublet, which only 1 of the 11 people even wanted to lot on). So 3 runs with 1 drop has got me thinking that I stand pretty much 0 chance of getting any armor completed.

Is this drop rate normal? For those of you that are doing Salvage, what drop rates per run do you usually see?

I was expecting 1-3 drops per run personally. This is my first real endgame activity though, and maybe I am just way off base concerning how much time and effort goes into these things. I certainly don't expect to finish a piece every week or anything, at this rate it could take forever.

Re: Salvage drop rates, whats your experience?

I got pretty lucky...and got a drop on my first run, so I don't have too much experience. But from what I've asked my LS about it, level 15 drops are pretty common, while level 25 drops are about half as common, and then 35 drops are about a 1-5% chance.

For the most part, it's going to be luck, and which way you decide to go while in salvage. And keep in mind, that only certain mobs even drop pieces of gear, so fighting Qutrub/Lamia along the way is pretty much only for cells, so that you can actually fight the NM's/Gears/Ramparts for drops.

Thanks to Roguewolf for the sig. :D

the group I lead is somewhere in the 0/53-56 range on level 35 drops globally.

most groups do between 1/12 and 1/25 (I'm sure we will after enough time; our rate is slightly depressed because we've been targeting SSR 35's primarily.)

25's are random drops from megas in each area, so 25's in general are quite a bit more common; any particular 25 is not necessarily less rare than its 35.

Just so other won't get the wrong idea, Long-Bowed Chariot, or the boss, drops 2 of 25's for 100% of the time for all areas. It's just a matter of which ones to drop. No other mobs in Salvage areas drop 25's.

The toughest ones are 35's. Like KoukiRyu mentioned, it's said to be roughly 5% drop rate from NM's, whose spawn condition varies a lot. (Some are already there no matter what.) 15's on the other hand are fairly easy. Some are even 100% drop from NM's, while some are rare drop from normal mobs, but not as rare as 35's; on average, you'll see them drop 1-3 times each run, and become trash as you keep counting your runs.

In short, completing Salvage equipments are about patience. A friend of mine just obtained his Morrigan's Robe after something like 40 runs a couple of weeks ago...

it's lower than 5% on many of the NM. some NM have higher rates on 35's (the rampart spawns have higher rates, since you will see fewer of them.)

SSR is probably a 1-3% before TH, given that my group is worse than 0/20 on hammerblow and 0/10 each on dekka and powderkeg and we roll with TH4
