Re: Someone must really have a grudge:

They have to have your POL ID to hack into your account. So you have to outside the very small chance someone completely on a guess gets everything right.

Re: Someone must really have a grudge:

Unless you install a keylogger in your computer, catch a virus/trojan/whatever that does or give your account info to someone (anyone) the chances of getting your account stolen are close to zero.

And I say "you install" because most screw ups happen when people runs files they are not supposed to be running and/or have no internet security whatsoever.

The only thing that bugs me about SE's security is the friend list plus, since it uses the same ID and password as your main account.

Let me get this straight. He hacked into an LS's website, got info from pms, logged onto people's accounts, dropped their shit or whatever, sent accounts to different servers?

Thats a little different than giving Taj your account info so he can check your plants or something.

Was he a member of this LS?
            Thanks Kazuki.

well, i know the 2 guys he gave it out to. 1 of them is me, and I didnt take it. The other is his friend irl. so... i would give that a 99% chance that he didnt either.

the gm found out which account received his stolen gear but gm wouldnt tell him the name of the character. luckily they didnt touch his mules or other accounts.

God damn it people read the link I will break it down.

                      Eticket is involved btw.

                      >So Taj seems like he is not done with DivisorTheory and decided to snoop around his ls.

                      >Finds out that their aegis pld among others (none confirmed) have bought gil

                      >In his snooping around he sees a string of POL info that is still correct

                      > He proceed to take the 10 accounts.

                      > One account is stopped in the process of taj taking it.

                      > They are all moved to new servers named after the BG posters.

                      > 8 on Levithan, 1 on hades

                      > Stripped of sellables only, aegis and annhilator are left untouched.

                      > BG errupts trying to find out who did it.

                      > Later to find Taj is responsible.

                      > BG starts to excommunicate Taj from all projects as well as most members start to turn their backs on him.

                      > Taj returns all the accounts as well as the items.

                      > Found out how Taj did it.

                      > Randomly dumb people start saying he hacked pol/windower/etc.

So now the question left is: Will people still be right up Taj's buttcrack after all this has gone down?

Seems a lot of people worshipped the ground he walked on ... will it continue?

I said that too. Still turned out to be two people I trusted. Did it to someone else as well. The thing is, when you give out info you are not only trusting that person, but those that they know. They could have third party info on their computer that you never know about or anything. They could say "oh I know someone who you can use to pl yourself, here you go." Simple answer - don't give it anyone.

Akssanyi, always knew Taj would go too far. He was actually quite helpful when I got my account jacked, but had a feeling he would just tip over one day.

That's pretty damn assy. I didn't think his work on the Wiki thing was cool, but since the info was out there, I couldn't exactly forget what I'd seen. But this is pretty low.
