  • Treasures purchase online?

I am nearing level 30 this week, and, by that token, nearing Corsair! I do still need to purchase the Treasures expansion, however. Does anyone know of a place where I can just purchase and download? I fear it may be hard to find a copy in my area.

    Thanks!

    Tried online? Amazon etc?

You can't just purchase and download, you need the key in the pack to unlock it.

Sorry but SE has not made any part of the client availble for download online. You have to purchase a disk with the data on it...and that disk comes with a booklet with it's own online actvation key.

EBgames, Amazon, and Best buy would alll easly have copies of the NA PC editions you can order on their websites. The PS2 edition...is well...super rare...and you have to be real lucky to snag one off ebay!

        For PS2:
Cheapest one I found on Amazon is $45 (at the time of this typing).

        That sucks

I went to FFXI's site "Online Store" link. The "Square Enix" and "Game Stop" link were links to pages saying the product doesn't exit, and the Wal-Mart one says sold out.

Maybe this is a sign of them phasing out the PS2 version (at least in the US)? Will be interesting to see how well you can find WotG for PS2 on release.

Although, I saw PS2 ToAU at a BX (military base Wal-Mart-like place) forever including last I went there (late last month), though I've since left the area.

PC version, on the other hand, is easy to find (might as well buy vanadiel collection 2007 version for same price/cheaper tbh...)

If you're on the PC version, SE released these $3.99 discs you can purchase from most Gamestops and you can install the data and register ToA on POL through that, I'd imagine, but I think you have to pay for the registry key from POL, which will be comprable to buying the ToA expansion itself.

I ment to say the installs of the PS2 edition keep getting rarer and rarer. The TAOU disk has got to be on of the hardest to find...with the basic FFXI installs being the easiest. The PC edition is super easy to find disks of so there's not problem there at all but unused PS2 FFXI expansions as rare as gold...
