God damn seriously if people want to boycott ffxi wiki let them, it doesn't effect you. Your not a wiki admin BBQ, you have said it plenty you have also said:

BG as a linkshell, maybe, the forum is a different matter. I've heard the complaint a few times now. I still find the "upstart" BGWiki's timing incredibly convienient.
The problem here is that people like you and (more annoyingly) SevIfrit seem to think we still haven't. We've all read it and we've all formed our own opinions.
Some of us clearly side with BG.
Some see FFXIC's side.
Some of us clearly don't care.
Some of us want more evidence.
Some of us think what FFXIC did was bad, but will use the site anyway because its is a good community resource.
If you're so up in arms about this, fine, but stop acting like no one here as read it. The entire FFXI community has beaten the issue to death, there have been loldebates in Whitegate about it and the person with the biggest "lawls" to gain over it are the people who don't browse forums at all.

I saw this documentary on Amish teens once. They were kind of hardcore. I felt comparably Amish (in the traditional sense) after watching it.

I saw this documentary on Amish teens once. They were kind of hardcore. I felt comparably Amish (in the traditional sense) after watching it.

I have seen a documentary on the Amish teens as well (possibly the same one). It was very eye opening to see the community actually allows their children to have a choice and be able to see what the "normal" lifestyle has to offer, then make an adult decision. Alot of the belief was a born Amish, and you would have no choice in the matter per say.

But for the record, I meant more that:

You can do whatever you want. Problem is, tons of people will probably do it. The end result? Our little community will be split between 2 wikis. Can't stop the inevitable. It's just stupid to get up in arms over something like this. To say that Bill Clinton was a bad president 'cuz he got head is silly. The 2 details are unrelated. There's probably a fallacy for this that I don't know the name of.

It is not stupid to get up in arms over this issue. People now "know" what he did, and if they chose to not deal with him because it makes them feel better, that issue can not be written off as stupid.

Bill Clinton was not ethical as a president, this is the same as Ganiman he was not ethical as admin. There are plenty of people in our country who do not talk about clinton or really care for him due to his actions, the same as people do not want to use wiki due to ganiman's actions.

That would be a non sequitur. Clintons personal actions will probably mean little as regards to whether or not he was a good president, it does however mean a great deal to many people regarding if they want to have anything to do with him or anything he does now.

Just as the actions of the Wiki mods and owners mean nothing related to the material presented there but everything as regards people showing their support, ambivalence, distaste or lack of concern for what happened by continuing to use it or choosing not to.
