    Re: Pankration experiences

Alright, I'm settled with Triple Fang. Level 7 Tiger Warrior, no sub. Attack Bonus inherent trait, and I gave it Attack Speed +50. It wont its first round against a Goobbue, but probably only because it was three levels under it.

I find taking pictures succeeds more often if you're standing next to the monster, length-wise, about six feet from it. Could just be crazy superstition.

Of course the picture could always succeed and it's me who fails...

        Re: Pankration experiences

I spent a while yesterday working on my Puck. Got one, gave it Att +15% (from a Jidra in Limbus), and Eva +15%. Level 8, mnk, no sub. It's first fight was against a slime, same level, absolutely annhilated it. Spammed Head Butt, the slime was powerless. Bring on the next fight (if i can spam the npc fast enough).

What is winning your Diablo? We had a Wamoura up to 197 wins when I last saw it yesterday...

            Re: Pankration experiences

I couldnt get my panktration application all night.
It always gets to the point that the npc is telling me of my mob stats and then suddenly says he cant process my application because there are too many people. This probably went on for 4 hours and then finally I just had to give up since it was getting late. Annoying.

The macro won't help. It will get you to the point that you can confirm the match, but lately those confirmations won't go through unless you're pretty damn fast.

macro the trade command and trade as soon as the mob that was beaten disapears on your rader (im a war). as soon as you see your mob info, quickly choose yes. the reason is because everybody is doing that very same thing and it dosn't register you till you hit ok.

I am 5/7 with beating ppl with the macro. Just got to be fast

Try /item "Official Reflector" <t> and target the NPC. Watch the match until one is almost dead, then press Enter, up, and it'll bring back the command line. Continue with Enter, Up, Enter, being careful she says the busy line before trying again. When you see the compass disappear press Enter twice, Up, then Enter again.

                        Re: Pankration experiences

Just as a heads up to those starting out on Pankration - a LOT of people are whoring out Apkallu and Mandragora mobs because they're MNKs and can get some obscene attack speed early on in the game. Its already so cliche its not even funny.

You can get Plantoid Killer Traits off something as simple as a Beetle in Ronfraure and Bird Killer off hecteyes and jellies. Apply these traits early to have a fighting chance against these mobs. Antlions burrow to evade damage, so they're not too shabby either.

                        I remade Howling Vortex.

                        Relentless Vortex
                        Paladin
                        Accuracy +15%
                        STR +25
                        Max MP +15%
                        Attack Bonus
                        White Magic Scrolls

Yes, I've taken one of the most annoying mobs in the game and gave it more defense and the ability to cure itself.

Overall Mimics do well for thier constant DAs in an even fight, they do real well on undead. I think I just made it better.

It seems like WAR mobs can be converted to PLD, DRK and SAM. Its like it follows the job designs in regards to armor. So a MNK mob could probably easily get NIN or SAM as a job and THF mob could be converted to RNG.

Of course, RNG mobs seem totally pointless here, its direct combat, which isn't a RNG's speciality.

WAR mobs with Berzerk abilities are a real gamble - rams, bombs, sheep and a couple others can lose fights because of that ability, especially on MNK types. Roc Mobs seem to be very good defensive mobs as WHMs

Chigoes are cute and nasty fighters, but one WS can kill them and therein lies the problem.

Corses look to be awesome BLMs for this if they can get off Memento Mori before a nuke.

Looking through the posts, I'm not sure how I have 56 FP when others seem lower. I used HQ for everything though. Does anyone know if FP will increase over time through leveling or anything? These numbers seem pretty restrictive so far.
My mandy is level 9, and has 60 FP, so yes, it does go up over time. Mine started at level 8.

I like the look of Wyverns, as Wind Wall just makes them unhittable. BBQ, on our server, the wamoura is the popular cliche choice. Blame BG forums for that. Our reigning Diablo champ is a Wamoura, nigh on unbeatable.

Honestly, trying to get into a match is worse than trying to claim Nid on a Day 8 in the pit.

Wamoura aren't too prevalent on Odin, but our Pit Champion is an Apkallu. I've beaten every Wamoura they've put me up against so far.

We had some new people in our Jeuno run last night so things got a lot messier then normal. People kept trying to blame Pankration when it was just people not paying attention and following directions. Eventually the ls leader told us to knock it off though. Shame too, because I wanted to see what I could get off the Goblin Golem.
