Good question, I have the Soultrapper 2000 and I tried to take the image of a skoffin at least 4x and it just tells me that Im unable to take the image, why is that?
I also tried taking images of the Ameretat and the spiders in Wajaom but still unable to take the image, am I missing something?
I got the image of a Mamool (evasion bonus) and Thunder elemental (some lightning thing).

The attempt wont always be successful. You have to be persistant, and eventually you'll get a picture if you don't run out of film.

I'm looking into a new monster to battle with...

hq will get better abilities, fp raises as your level does the bg thread i posted has alot of info in it.

Max MP +15% (native)

Mobs seem to hold on to thier natural job traits no matter what job you switch them to, Mimics are known to be annoying for thier near-constant Double Attack rate and that AoE stun/poison move that takes off 10 HP a tick. I may eventually drop DRK and add the attack speed bonuses you can get from Cactuar and give it a THF Main job. Depends on how many more feral points I get as it levels.

I think i read that mimic's weren't able to be given thf/ but thf mimic may be crazy.

Any monster can have an inherent trait, and there are those extremely rare that can have two.

I had a Warrior type tiger with a +15% MP trait. GG.

The whole thing is pretty frustrating. Certain monsters have an extreme advantage over every other. There's no monster correlation or anything, they're just better in every way. It makes no sense at all.

I'm going to wait for the next 'Known Issues' update...

You can pick up some nice traits from Avatar on top of other BCNM Bosses. You can't get an avatar to fight, but you can run in and snap pics.

Alexander gives Light Magic +25, Light Magic resistance +2, Magic Attack Bonus (pretty sure all avatars give that one).

Has Kamle'naut, Eld'narche and Shadow Lord's traits been recorded?

Monster Correlation is very relevant from what I've observed of fights so far. Fact is, right now a lot of people are throwing together a monster and entering them into fights without putting much thought into what they want from that monster to do besides "look badass."

I have seen wyverns taken down by rabbits, colibri take out wivres and mandies beat cactuar. There as Corrlation, but you have to add the trait. The monster of the family is just a template when you start it. That imp will not know black magic and dragon killer unless his reflector says so.

People can pass off the "killer" plates as weak, because you can save feral points by picking a higher FP plate as a template at no cost, but the killer traits can be worth it.

Rabbits and Korrigan are the ones taking everything out. There's also Tauri and Rocs from what I hear that are over powered.

I put my tiger up against a korrigan only one level higher than me and it killed me in two attack rounds. GFG. Why the fuck am I waiting an hour just to watch my monster lose to everything?
