Pankration experiences

Let's start with a little info:

Cameras and 12-pack plates are each 2 jettons. Trading currency to an NPC standing next to the entrance inside The Pit will earn you jettons.

Bronze: 1 jetton
Silver: 10 jettons
Mythril: 30 jettons
Gold: 200 jettons

There's a special camera, and special plates that are 500 jettons each. The special camera can take 48 pictures, rather than twelve, and has a recast of 30 seconds, instead of one minute. The 500 jetton plates don't seem to have any bonus, but might be required for the special camera.

I don't know what's in the 5000 jetton section because he wont let me in.

Anyways, I ran out to Lufaise, Miseraux, and Riverne to grab some pictures.

First picture was a Bogy on the Valkurm beach, and got nothing.
Second picture was of a bugard, and got a plate of a bugard or +25 Str.
Second picture was of an Orcish Beastrider, and I got a plate of the job Dark Knight.
Third was of Acrophies, and I got a plate of Aspir Attack.
Fomor Warrior failed.
Gigantobugard failed.
Hippogryph got me a plate of wind attacks.
Firewing failed over and over.
Anhedonia was defeated by the Firewing.

Currently I'm waiting to get into a match with my Bugard, and I'm still looking for the guy who changes name. Nobody has found him so far.

They page you when they're ready for you. Standard wait time before a match seems to be anywhere from half an hour to forty-five minutes.

I didn't win my first match, but Hostile Jack lost very narrowly to a Wyvern mob, Got him down to 5%, but Jack ignored my second command.

Seems you can get all manner of scrolls off Lesser Colibri. All magic they mimic, you can Soulcapture off of them. Mobs all seem to posses up to three or four traits you can capture, too.

Beastmen seem to give jobs, job traits and subjob availability.

Not sure if anyone is going to make a collection of mobs and traits and stuff, but I will put what I got so far.
King Buffalo Turned it into official reflector, forgot what stats were
Giant Buffalo: FP 38 Viral Attack
Buffalo: FP 23 Attack + 15%
Brontotaur: FP 5 MP Max + 50%
Tyrannotaur:FP 8 Dragon Killer
Kindred Warrior: FP 17 Darkness Attack Bonus
Phasma: FP 12 Darkness Attack +15%
Snoll: FP 47 Additional Ice Damage
Variable Hare: FP 17 Agility +25

That is all I have so far. That was out of 24 shots with the HQ stuff.

Changing your monster's name is done by trading your official plate to the NPC who turns reflectors into plates. You can not change the name while you're signed up for a fight, and you can only change it once.

While watching monsters compete, they are considered player characters so it's possible they will disappear if you have your player count set too low.

Your FP begins at 0/X. X is the total amount of Feral Points you can have assigned at a time. It's best to look for plates for your monsters earlier, and make sure they're assigned before you enter a match or you'll lose pitifully. You can assign feral skills while signed up for a match.

My buffalos first fight was against a level 3 leech. The owner happened to be in my LS too. Needless to say I wiped the floor with him, however, he got 75 xp and 75 Jettos. I got 25 xp and I think 75 Jettos but not positive.

I also mistakenly changed all but two of my soul plates to reflectors. This is bad because you can no longer add abilities to other reflectors.

On the other hand, I learned what jobs some of them are.
i.e.
Buffalo are PLD
Phasma WAR/BLM
Tauru are MNK
Varial Hare is WAR

It got late and very laggy in there so I called it a night.

Hostile Jack won his first match vs a Treeant. The Apkallu knockback move he has is killer.

I haven't won any matches. My dragon has 24FP, and his jobs are War/Blm. He has no skills, but uses Body Slam every once in a while. I can't change his main job to Drk for some reason, and it's beginning to get annoying. I lost a fight to a damn rabbit that was one level above me, and before that some Wamoura that was practically invincible.

My level 4 Bugard had more FP than my level 6 Dragon.

I don't know, this just doesn't seem like something I'd be interested in, but maybe I'll just spectate for a while to see what it's about. Could be fun to do while I'm LFP and generally just chatting with my LS.

It's definately something you can do while LFP. The wait between matches is now more than half an hour, and you basically make enough jettons fighting to continue fighting. After the initial cost, it becomes virtually free.

Only cost me like 10K EXP of trying solo, but hey.

I found out you can pick up some Damage and Magic Damage Null % off Promathia, too. As well as Curse on hit, probably random proc.
