It has the expansions. Like I said, absolutely no problem from them YET.

Stupid? Sounds to me exactly like something SE would do, or find a way of doing. I know there's no logical REASON for it, but I still get the ugly little feeling it's going to happen ANYWAY.

Yes, it was inspired by the Simpsons

Re: Final Fantasy XI for the pc

No, it doesn't sound like something SE would do. The software has nothing to do with the account itself. Once you install it, you're set. Especially if you're playing on an entirely different account.

It's not going to happen anyway. You can rest easy.

Damaged disks aren't going to "eat" your DVD drive, by the way. They just won't read.

That depends on the damage; discs are spun at high speed, so if they crumble during play attempt there may be high speed disc fragments bouncing around.

I wouldn't stick a cracked disc into a drive, that's for sure. Your normal, scratched discs are usually OK, of course.

Well, yes. But I'd like to hope that people aren't so silly as to put a cracked disk (or fragments of a disk) into a DVD drive. I mean, that's basic common sense. I didn't include that caveat in my post because it kind of goes without saying.

There's multiple versions of the starter pack too? I'm confused ...

Re: Final Fantasy XI for the pc

ok i purchased the starter pack just so i can confirm for you, ain't I nice?

anyhoot, it sure looks like it has all 3 expansions for install. I can't verify in game though because my account is deactivated, but for $3.99 it's a small risk.

word of caution: the disks must be unbalanced or something because it causes my DVD drive to spin up a storm. it sounds like a freaking turbine spinning up and it has NEVER done that before.

                          Thanks Yyg!

So am I, because my husband is out in ToAU exp'ing in the mire right now...so if the starter pack doesn't have the information, I'd like to know how it got there.

Just buy the Vanadiel Collection 2007. You don't need to register the expansions for it if you already did on the 360.

I had FFXI on the PS2 and I had all the expansions already registered on it. Then I got it on Computer. I got the Vanadiel Collection 2007 and didn't need to register any of the expansions.
