Firstly, someone came in with a legitimate question of the origin of the Mithra name. As someone with more than a passing interest in etymology, this interested me as well. Indeed, it does originate from pre-Christian times to a religious deity, but this means as much as 'Shiva' or 'Ifrit'. There is no deeper meaning or symbology than using a cool sounding name with historical overtones. Don't write too much into it.
That said, I'm very disappointed in every contribution to this thread. Please refrain from responding unless you can enhance the content of a thread. Just chill.
