    The only problem I have with my NPC is healing, buffing, and casting. There's an obvious delay between casts and I know that if she's still trying to silence that crab while I'm at 30% HP one of us wont be waking up tomorrow.

      True, your NPC could be gaining exp from being there. But what if your NPC is already capped at 65? Would you still be willing to take a 30% cut to your own exp even though your NPC gains nothing from it? Well, perhaps you would be willing to do so. Not every player out there is that generous.

      It wouldn't necessarily reduce their overall exp. If the NPC counted as a 6th party member for the purposed of exp calculation, it would only reduce their exp rate if the NPC didn't carry its own weight. But isn't that the point of this thread? Making NPCs strong enough to carry their own weight?
