That's not your modem, that's your husband.
I use a Mac because I'm just better than you are.

My response is that it's rather intriguing that I've been playing FFXI for almost three years, but I haven't had a single port-related problem until right now this instant.
Wow sorry to hear. While I've found firewalls and other programs that have worked for the past year exc will sometimes just start causing problems the fact you were able to get into the game with your other characters should have been a hint to the tech that it wasn't a port issue. Had it been a matter of the port you should of had trouble no matter which character you were logged into.
I've only called SE once and thought the rep was nice and intelegent, but at the time they required your registration code to change your password even if you verified the cc, social, name, address. I was annoyed that SE's policy at the time was to buy the game again and create a new character (not happening would have gone elsewhere), but after talking for awhile I was able to get what I needed without loosing 1 year of gameplay. Policies are often more frustraiting to the tech than to the one on the other side of the phone since few understand your doing what you've been told and can't give an opinion on it. (Your ability to make ecceptions is rather limited, but without that I would have been forced to cancle and try a different MMO glad the rep helped me out).

I just tried talking to my modem.

It unblocked all the ports I told it to, modem.

You just need to learn Korean for the next time you have blocked ports is all.

Thanks to Roguewolf for the sig. :D

Had the tech had the brains of a maggot, he wouldn't have asked me, on the ONLINE CHAT SERVICE, if my modem was turned on, yet he did. On the other hand, if he worked the phone line AND the chat room, perhaps he was simply going through his default list since it was what he was used to (I work as a cashier in a drive through, when I get moved into the front counter, I tell people to pay at the window anyway by habit).

Who knows, perhaps he thought I was as much of a bitch as I thought he was an itjit.

Actually I have three computers. They all share the same modem. If my internet service was so shaky I had to get a second connection and second modem system, I'd change who my isp was.

SE's service is sorta flawed. If you get your account stolen you'll never hear form it again since if they change the Credit Card #.... you're history.
