Not sure what BFNM is...lol...

EDIT:

Becuase Im bored....

BCNM: Burning Circle Notorious Monster - enetred with Beastmen Seals, also mission battlefields.

ENM: Same as above except you gain XP as well, enetered by aquiring a key item (normally a pain in the ass to get). Repeatable every 5 days or something like that.

ISNM: BCNM but entered by using Imperial Standing

But if you actually loo at the link posted, there are all right there. No, really they are.

The BC refers to Burning Circle. The E in ENM refers to Empty (as in the empty from CoP). BF I have never heard of, unless thats where angry girlfriends beat up Boy Friend Notorious Monsters?

Perhaps if you are blocked from looking up the info yourself, you should state so in your post as opposed to yelling at those that answer. Or, better yet, wait till you're off work to look up the information.

EDIT: Also, some people refer to KSNMs, which are actually BCNMs but you use Kindred Seals instead of Beastman Seals.

Thanks Hongman! Blocked from that site really... This is the only site that's not blocked for FFXI. That's why I'm a post whore. Are the NMs that walk around JUST NMs? Anway, thanks again!

Necro: Maybe... But try and tell me that if you could talk FFXI shop while at work, you wouldn't. Yeah....

I'm at work myself, but not blocked from the sites. I'm not saying that you can't ask questions, just don't think it's nice that you bite someone's head off because they arn't psychic and know that you're at work and can't research the info yourself.

But anyways, NMs that walk around are just NMs with the exception of HNMs (Hyper Notorious Monsters). HNMs generally give a title when defeats, usually drop Vile Elixers, and several other factors that play into weather or not they are technically an HNM. Some HNMs are popped as well, Absolute Virtue and Kirin (if he's still considered an HNM).

I saw "BFNM" for the first time the other day when I wandered over to Mysterytour (which I don't visit all that often). I got a chuckle out of it, since the first thing that came to my mind was that it stood for "Big F'ing NM".

From what I can tell, the BF in BFNM stands for Battle Field. Thus, BFNM is a larger category encompassing BCNMs / KSNMs, ENMs, ISNMs, mission/quest specific battles, and other unusual battlefields like the Ashu Talif series.

Its cool.

Most of the time a link that has all information for you to check out it is much easier than answering a bunch of questions. It starts out as "Whats BCNM?" then goes to "Where do I get seals?", "Which one makes money?", "What jobs do I need?".

I take it that people have responded to your questions like this before. It seems that you don't like that. I don't think people do it to be mean.
