Content IDs

I'm new to the game. I hope it is ok to post this here in general.

I have one content id only. I have one character only. I am still in the trail period. What I am wanting to do is abandon this character and create a new one on a different world. How do I go about doing this? What charges might apply, etc?

I am confused about it all. Please help me..

just cancel your characters ID, then create a new character ^^ dont cancel your PO ID tho

If you truly mean to abandon the character completely, you can just delete it and create a new character using that ID.

However, if you want to hold onto that character, then just go into the Content ID section and purchase another ID. It will be free to you until the end of your trial period, when you'll be charged $1 per month extra. That fee will be prorated if your trial period ends before the first of the month.

I'm in the web chat queue to try to ask them questions about this stuff, but that takes forever..

I wonder if I could create another content id and try a server out while I'm in the trail period and it be free.. Then go back and cancel the previous character if I wanted to stay on the new server..

You don't have to cancel the Content ID to make a new character if you want to completely get rid of the character.

Right before the Character Select screen there is an option to "Delete Character". Select that and delete your current character. Once the character is deleted you can use that Content ID to make a new character on which ever world as any race. Just like the intial setup of the character.
