FINAL FANTASY XI Update (Jun. 28)
At the following time, we have performed a version update of FINAL FANTASY XI (Windows version only).

* This update consists of a version upgrade of the client program (both "PlayStation 2" and Xbox 360 versions will not be updated). When you press the play button after the time stated below, the version upgrade will begin automatically. Please follow the instructions on the screen.

- An issue has been addressed wherein players may be unable to leave Mog House because they cannot target "Door: Back to Town" by using mouse. (Windows version only)

Yes I do, and this problem used to ahppen but after the last version update it went away so why they think they need to update it when it worked fine last night beats me...

I use a combination of mouse clicks and movement and tabs etc. works well for me and assists greatly in partying.

I only ever use the mouse to pan around, never for targetting and clicking - its just too fickle.

I can't imagine how it would assist in partying. I can target much faster with F keys than I could with the mouse.

Target with tab or F keys, middle mouse click for menus, mouse for panning, and also mouse for targeting if there are alot of mobs and parties in an area, it can take ages to tab through if 3 parties and 4 mobs are in an area, a simple move and click shortens this, I found it very usefull in the Jungles. where 3 camps are close.

Meh, once I double click on the FFXI Icon on my desktop I don't touch my mouse again until I am done.

I can do all of those things with my right hand on the numpad and arrow keys, Jarre.

Yeah, if by some will of the angered Ra that I forgot my gamepad at home and I really need to play, I'll just use the keyboard. Once you learn all the buttons, it's actually not that hard to play.

And I'm on a laptop, so using a mouse for anything is nigh worthless. But I suppose it's because my macros are differed... I can use the ALT and CTRL keys to activate the macro, and since I use <stpc> or <stnpc>, I just press the corresponding button...

So just because most people here use the keyboard or a game pad they shouldn't have fixed this bug they came across?

IMO this patch is quite pointless as most, or probably all of the FFXI community can or could use their keyboards.... just a minor bug that doesnt really need to get fixed. My opinion though, just thought id tell you that before i get flamed...
