On the low end of the scale, something along the lines of Maat's cap, but sufficiently different to be obvious at a glance, and without needing examination. An outward sign that says "this character has all the jobs levelled to 75".

It could even be an aketon, similar to those from the starting cities, but active in all cities including Jeuno and Whitegate. Those aketons have a movement+ while inside the city, but they have no real use outside that other than as a status symbol (and since every 3rd mule is wearing one, not much of a symbol either!)

Just an idea!

Could be a Light around you. you would look like a god lol.
But I agree. Just like maat's cap ppl can see your achievement.
And all jobs 75 is a big achievement.

Kinda like mastering all jobs in FF5, you get 1 single final job that can wear everything, can use every abilities and can cast every spell.

This assume you 75 every jobs, then you have to max every single merit available for them.

If you got to max every merit too I would find it a fair reward, since its a pretty neat reward that you suggest lol.

On top of that, the customizable job could be like you had to quest for each ability you wana unlock and use for the job for example.

And once you capped that job, you can get wings and be able to fly lol j/k

Or if you fear the sun, you could always try playing a new game. Games other than FFXI do exist, after all.

Seriously, anyone who has sunk enough time into this game to get every single job to 75 is probably at the very end of their FFXI career. Whatever special benefit they get at that point, they're probably not going to take advantage of it for much longer.

If I got to level a customizable job. I would actually play it.
And even I, got work and friends lol. But I think I can get all jobs to 75 over time. I'm about to get my 5th job to 75 now SAM 67 at this moment. Got a THF65 and a MNK 58 coming up next after SAM. ^^

Nothing is necessary. You don't need anything. you can just buy on AH and get what you want. You dont need to play ffxi either. You dont even need to answer in this thread. its totally up to you. If there was no rewards in FFXI, it wouldnt be any point to do anything if you dont get something from what you do.

Cor pup and blu isnt a part of the maat quest, so they wont count.

otherwise. they could take pup, blu and cor in the all 75 reward, but it wouldn't be with maat in the picture.

What items that is needed or not, is up to each individual if the would like to have it or not.

The thing is, it's already more difficult to get Maat's cap then it is to level all jobs to 75. As has already been pointed out, it's easy to half-ass most jobs to 75. But beating Maat on all of them? Not so much. True, they have the benefit of leveling the job to 75 before giving it a try, but quite frankly, I doubt that some players would still be able to manage some of the tougher fights.

Why do we need another reward? Is there a real reason for it, or is this just some idea you had this one time, and you thought it was cool, so you thought you'd see what the folks at FFXIO thought about it and anyone who disagrees is clearly wrong and why don't people just like my idea?

You'll spend more time on leveling all jobs to 75, then beat maat with all jobs.
Thats how I see it is a bigger challenge then defeating maat. you need gear and all that as well to level in an effective way. The reason for the reward is that it is a good achivement. its like your birthday. you are finally 12 years old and you get reward for it. Same as this. you got all jobs at 75, you are the "master of all jobs." here is your reward.

I thought of this as an Idea to put another goal into the game that I and everyone else can look forward too.

But you're wrong, as has already been stated several times in this thread. People half-ass jobs to 75 all the time. They don't get the best gear, and they don't bother to do the job well. But you have to be good at the job to beat Maat on most jobs (some more than others). So beating him is a bigger challenge.

Having all jobs at 75 isn't something that everyone else can look forward to. A reward for that targets a very small portion of the player base. Most people playing this game will never have more than one job at 75, much less all of them.

It's a Cap. If you aren't happy enough with that, then don't level the jobs to 75. Look on the bright side, at least you aren't getting socks for your birthday.

Thinking everyone is looking forward to getting all jobs to 75 is like thinking most people want to speak ten languages. Sure, there are people out there that do, but most people are fine with one or two.
