    Re: patch messed up targeting

    In the beginning, there was the command line...

    Seriously... I prefer typing rarely used spells rather than managing more than one page of macros (for a given job/sub/situation combo) or going through menus every time I want to do the 21st most common thing.

    I wish they'd give us Ctrl-Shift-number and Alt-Shift-number for 40 macros per page or something, but until then, I think typing is often the best available option for things that didn't fit in your macro set.

      Exactly. And don't get me wrong, I use my menu too. But I can type fast enough most of the time that I don't need to.

        And ever since, noobs have been bitching that there isn't a GUI version. STFU and learn how to type ls -a.

        ..Ahem. Yeah, most of the time it's quicker to type, especially when it's laggy. In Beiseiged, it could very well take you fourty seconds to pick a spell out of your menu, when you could type it in 10-15.

            I hope it doesn't take me 10-15 seconds to type in any spell, regardless of where I am. ><;

              I've always used <t>, <stpc> and <stnpc> in all my macros and have little diffculty tabbing through my macro menus with a Dual Shock controller. I just use the keyboard for conversation.

                It's mostly an issue for people who type commands; macros just have to be fixed once, but having to type a command target every time kinda sucks, if you're not a very accurate typist like me.

                yet not a mote of dust is stirred;

                leaving no trace in the water.

                  For some reason, my typing goes to shit when my computer is running slow.
