  • patch messed up targeting

I noticed that since the patch occurred, you need to type <t> or <me> now while on a target instead.. This makes things a bit more annoying

    example:

    Cursor target is on me
/ma Warp <- no longer works
    /ma Warp <me> <- works
    /ma Warp <t> <- works

    Re: patch messed up targeting

You might be wise next time to read the release notes:

An error message will now appear when players attempt to use magic or abilities via text commands without specifying a target using <t>, etc.
It's down toward the bottom, about 5-6 points above the new auto-translator items.

        Re: patch messed up targeting

I didn't really like this change and it is fairly apparent that it is going to take a little while for me to adjust. I became accustomed to not using the <t> tag, especially when soloing as I just type most of my commands anyways.

Oh well, I'll gladly make this sacrifice for all of the other cool changes SE has implemented in the last few patches!

                  You typed commands?

                    Re: patch messed up targeting

I typed a lot of commands out from time to time. Things I didn't need macroed, like Bar-spells and such.

I typed most if not all my spells such as refresh, haste, stoneskin, regen and cures on rdm and whm, so it completely through me off and my self timer since the time it takes for me to type haste after refresh while eating the recast for refresh fits nicely, just adding <t > through me completely out of wack x.x

If you're a good typist, menu interface isn't necesarily faster.
