  • Connection Issues

Unfortunately, I have little information to give, because I get no FFXI errors. However, I am thinking that this problem I am having is due to FFXI. Every time I try to connect, my DSL 'resets' itself kinda, saying "Network cables are unplugged". I don't really see anything else it could be, as while I'm just on the internet, its fine. Any ideas?

    Re: Connection Issues

    Bad packets.

Seriously though...what's your setup? Are you playing on PC, 360, or PS2? What kind of firewalls do you have set up? Anti-virus? Operating system? Internet provider? Mother's maiden name? What are you wearing right now?

EDIT: Forgot about that one InuTrunks...router manufacturer, model number, and firmware revision if possible. Same information for modem wouldn't hurt.

      Re: Connection Issues

If you're running an older router, you need to get a new router. Or connect directlyl.

        Re: Connection Issues

Alright, sorry for the wait. I gathered some information, and had to fight with the net itself to get on. I ran ipconfig and "ipconfig /release"/"renew" as well as "ipconfig /flushdns" but these really had no effect.
Here is a "ipconfig /all" read out.

We have no router, so we connect directly to the modem, which has four RJ45 ports in the back, and one RJ-11. The RJ-11 port is connected to some connector with two similar ports that is then connected to the wall jack(I tried switching both of these, it does the same thing for either one, no real change I can see). The others go to my various computers. One to the main desktop in the living room, one desktop in my room, two laptops (mine is occasionally connected instead of the laptop to my PS2). The problem occurs in all of the machines, even the PS2.

As I said, the router isn't connected.

I have even run virus scans on all of them turning up nothing, not even general spyware.

I even checked the connections to EVERYTHING and reset the modem multiple times. There is no software for it, but I'll list the desktop's drivers. (My laptop cannot boot atm, and the other is my mothers.)
        Living room's:
        Intel(R)PRO/100 VE network connection
        Driver: 8.0.21.0

        My room's:

Here are the stats on the modem and router (even though I can't figure out how to get the router working):
        Modem: Pannaway RGN-210
        MAC:
        000E5OCB3AF4

        Router: Linksys WRT-546 v4
        S/N:
        CDFA0E7Q5722
        MAC:0014BF309DC2
        DEVICE ID: YPGZXDQC
BTW, this is no new network, either...If there's any more info you need, please ask. This is as much information as I could get on my own. ^^ I hope it helps.
