  • The Current ToAU Story (Spoilers Ahead)

    So, who else has just finished the new batch of missions? I can't freaking believe where this is all going. I hope we don't have to wait more than 2 months for the next batch. I really want to see the 3 nations + Jeuno amass their armies.

    And a big W T F to Odin Prime. WOW, is this ever getting good. I mean I've known all along that the rider was Odin (who didn't?) but the whole Age of Judgment being upon us... and the astral candies too.

    There are 4 others out there, but it doesn't seem like we'll ever find them. All the same, props to Ghatsad for building an even stronger construct than the Alzadaal Undersea Ruins. Wow, WTF are you waiting for? Alexander or no, if you have a giant mechanical death machine if such magnitude why have you not yet wiped out the beastmen?! Or is Alexander required to move/control it?

    Lastly, I had a neat thought earlier... what if Odin's real is the new "Sky"? Wouldn't that just be a kicker? Diving into the underworld...

    As long as we're talking about the plot, what happened to The History of Vana'Diel site? It hasn't been updated in over a year, but I know the author is still active.

      From what I understood, Alexander is the 'machine' being put together to be the 'savior' for the empire. I got pretty screenshots of Odin.

        Does anyone else find it odd that Odin's Protocrystal lies semi-shattered (it's still intact but missing chunks) in Xarcabard, while Alexander's has yet to be seen?

        Even more disturbing yet is that all the current events seem to be leading to SE's own version of Ragnarok. They're just calling it the "Age of Judgment", but it's really Ragnarok, or at least very similar.

        Odin and Alexander are preparing for a large-scale battle to the death to "Decide the laws of the land" and now even the other nations are getting pulled into this. The beastmen are scared ****less the Empire ressurecting Alexander, as they know the coming conflict will likely raze the whole continent.

        It's basically the end of the world for all involved, as the NPCs at the end of the last CS say "This will be a war with bloodshed on a scale never seen before." or something like that.

        Yes I know it's not a perfect rendition of it, but SE messes with Mythology all the time and never strides for 100% accuracy. I rather like their approach, as they mix it up for a muddled yet unique blend of mythology and their own screwiness.

            Where in Xacabard can you find this?

              Err, sorry it's Uelgerand Range in the CS after Snoll Tzar. I don't think you can physically approach it, but we do see it during CoP.

              And I misswrote that; my point was that it's odd that the crystal is on the main lands, while Odin's stonghold is on another continent. All the other primes (except Alexander, who is as of yet unknown) reside near their crystals (and all of them are around the middle lands)

              Also, I just had a thought;

              What if Alexander's protocrystal is inside the Alzadaal ruins somewhere? Or what if it's comprised of the 5 astral candesences? So far all we know about him is that he chooses the strongest being to be his host, similar to Odin. Odd that neither of these two Celestial Avatars ever materialize on their own. They all require an Avatar in the truest sense of the word.
