Think back to leveling RDM 40-58 (before you get the Elemental Staves and again before you get your Warlocks Tabard) then think about MND Down.

yea, see I was using the pop up menu, not using ctrl-m or alt-m, and I was still seeing all spells

That's quite odd. The only time I get all spells in the popup menu is when I've just zoned or I'm having connection issues. Could either of those things have been the case? I don't think there's a toggle or anything unless they silently changed something. Filtering unusable spells is just the normal behavior for that list.

To often but getting back to it, he didn't have it, which meant he didn't have it when he was leveling BLM and I doubt he never partied with a RDM and if he didn't, the WHM he was with would probably be enfeebling and could use the help even more.

I've seen it, it's a random bug. It probabably happens more often, just most of my important spells are macroed.
