wow... Se did something VERY cool or I was in the black all this time.

I just bought a blm spell and learned it... as a whm main blm sub o.O and the spell was yellow to inform me that I could learn it but did't had it yet...

Is it me or is it new since the update ?

I don't know if it was always like that. I only noticed it a few months ago when I noticed I could use some Absorb scroll I had missed when I was rdm/drk. Ideally though, you should be using those scrolls when they're for your main job, right after you level up.

I noticed something weird as well. I was running around as a 43 WHM/BLM last night. I had spells like WarpII and StoneII in my magic list that were greyed out, but they were still there

When you use the Ctrl-M magic list, all the spells you've learned show up there regardless of which subjob you have equipped and its level. You'll even see that when you're on war or something.

hmm....maybe I had an option on that hid them until I was able to use them, and the update reset it.

I hope I can figure out how to hide them again. CTRL+M? Or are you talking about something else?

Ctrl-M (and Alt-M I believe) brings up a magic menu that shows all your learned spells whether or not you can use them. Selecting Magic from the menu that pops up when you press Enter brings up a magic menu that shows only the spells you can cast with your current job/sub. The cursor location for each menu is saved independently of the other, so I set the cursor on for Ctrl-M menu on a niche spell that's useful for the situation I'm in, like a barstatus, and use it as an 11th macro.

I was going to pipe up about that, but since the Frost/Drown/Rasp seems to be more popular than Shock/Burn/Choke I just let it go. Really, of the six, Shock provides the smallest benefit to the party.

Think back to leveling RDM 40-58 (before you get the Elemental Staves and again before you get your Warlocks Tabard) then think about MND Down.

yea, see I was using the pop up menu, not using ctrl-m or alt-m, and I was still seeing all spells
