  • Why is there so much NA bashing?

It's really starting to get on my nerves. Almost every post I go to has some form of "NAs never do this that or the other"

I have never SEEN so much bashing about where a person lives in my entire life! Even the Guild wars seems to have it less.

I'm starting to think this game isn't NA friendly.

I would have more to say but I just woke up and i'm all foggy. =3

It pretty much started with Arctic Wolf's streak of posts complaining about NA this and NA that, I think.

Not stuff like "NA sucks we should nuke it" stuff.

But stuff like "NAs never use potions" Not exactly that, but along those lines.

            Um, where? >_>
            Bamboo shadows sweep the stars,
            yet not a mote of dust is stirred;
Moonlight pierces the depths of the pond,

Well, no one uses potion in everyday party play, you know.

From my experience, low to mid level english speaking players I got to party with, were often new players playing their first or second jobs. So in that case, not using as many items was understandable. I haven't seen any new JP player starting out that much...

Ok, it's not entirely common place. But take that post about Seacoms, a lot of NA crap in there =/.

I'm just tired of being stereotyped =/.

Maybe bashing wasn't the correct word. More like "Why is there so much NA Stereotyping"

I gotta stop making threads when I first wake up =3.

Because some NAs hate themselves, kinda like Jews.

I guess in Japan all the smart kids play computer games instead of doing their math homework, playing chess, building model volcanoes, solving complex equations, synthesizing more efficient rocket fuel, creating nuclear fusion, or solving life's mysteries.

Naw, I just think there's more of us, more of us who could possibly be stupid, and more of us who love to complain and cause drama.

As a jew, I take offense to that!

Not really. But yeah, the same could be said with otakus. "OMG Japan is SO much better! They got anime! We have nothing good!" is their basic mentality.

Seriously, wtf ever happened to patriotism?

There's plenty of patriotism. Wanting EVERYONE to love the state is rather orwellian.

The day it dies is the day the world becomes a little bit of a better place.

There's a difference between patriotism and being overtly biased. Being a patriot doesn't mean you're some slack-jawed idiot who only supports the war because Bush said you should. Being a patriot means being proud of your country, and shouldn't be thought of as negative.
