Buddy Pass download error

So I gave my friend a buddy pass just now, but whenever he tries to download it, it cuts off the download saying the server has unexpectedly closed the connection and he has to restart. And even when he man aged to get it to putter through *restarting many times* it gave him an error when he tried to open the file, I'm guessing it got corrupted.

Can anyone help us out? Could this have anything to do with POL maintenance going on while he's downloading it?
