And Uck, did it suck. Not only did the tank ahve to go afk to "mow the grass" for 10 mins. People started to have to leave 30 mins into it. Not to mention some other people decided to camp next to us (the whole place is empty and they camp next to us), and steal our mobs.

WTF happened to camp respect in this game? And where is it?

Indeed. Let me expound on this:

Basically speaking, this "Camp Respect" you speak of no longer exists, except in a few spots and among a few people (like myself). These days, it's all about getting as much xp as fast as you can.

Areas that can support 1-2 parties now have 3-5 parties at them, and, since people don't know any better (see above), they think that the area can support all of them.

It has actually gotten so bad (think: Caedarva Mire), that I only ask one question when I'm invited to a party: {Where?} Once I find out (and those that don't know where they're partying don't get me in their party), I do a general search on the zone, filter by level if needed (like the dunes, filter out everybody 30+... not that I would ever have to do this there, but you get the idea), and count how many party leaders there are. Take into account how many people are returned (if it's 10 leaders and 15 people, something's wrong), and make a judgment on that.

for example, the other day I was invited to a party in Caedarva. A search revealed there were 7 parties and 65+ people there at the time. In an area where spawns only allow for maybe 5-6 camps, it was overcrowded, and I passed.

While I do occasionally get the Caedarva parties, I don't nearly as much as I used to. I find myself in burn parties and/or Bibiki Bay more often than not, which is perfectly fine by me. I wanted to get my CP back up anyway, I have more than enough IS.

Maybe it's because i'm mostly used to JP parties? /shrugs It's been awhile. This is my first all EN PT in just over 3 years.

Ehh...well, recently, I decided to take a party to a weird camp, not all to commonly used, although some people may know of it. But you can go to G-8 in Batallia into Eldieme Necropolis, to fight Gazers. Now, we go in, start buffing and stuff, and in runs this SAM and RDM...we assume they're just coming to check something or other, then gonna let us be. They start farming our mobs. It was me and 5 JP players, and the two farmers were NA. They kept shouting "Gazer {level} {up} {Experience Points} {please}" And the farmers just stayed.

I asked them through /tell if they could come back and farm, or go somewhere else, and some JP's even told them where they could find more. They stayed, and stayed. So eventually, we had to leave for Garlaige, which I was trying to avoid, because of the super over-camping. It was depressing that they'd stay and farm over us when we were just trying to get exp.

I'd never steal exp mobs for money, especially not when I can find them somewhere else. The thing that irked me the most was that we were there first, and they come in, and start slaughtering our exp mobs. =/

lol. Yes, that explains most of it, except for the camp next to you business. (Even JP's do that, sometimes.)

Just remember, JP parties get together, discuss how and where, and decide on how long to play--all before heading out the city. NA parties just ask where's the camp then individually get there (or abandon you for a better party), and try to work out what to do (or not) after the first Provoke.

OK, it's not really that bad, but I really hate NA parties at times. Seriously, I much rather have a so-so JP setup which lasts 2.5 hour for 5k/hour exp with everyone polite and attentive, than a manic 3.5 hour NA party with four replacements (including leader!) and eight over 5 minute AFK's for a wild swings between 2k/hour to 8k/hour exp and people calling each other noobs. x_x;

Places like Caedarve Mire can hold like 2 roaming merit pts only, yet for some reason idiots always fill it till theres 50+ people xping there. I only like to go there with a brd for epeen raising weapon skills, which is fun and all, but the xp generally still blows. I'd suggest going to the old places, like weapons in sky or try big birds in lufaise meadows. People might be like "wtfnoToAUonry" but when those other places are empty, you're going to get much better xp there.

Ps: Jp parties suck at this point. Americans play fine, if not better, don't start any NA pts suck BS. It is consistently JP players who pull off crap like the auto-translate [Have stuff to do, gotta go!] and ditch you mid-pull.

Just accept this game is full of people with bad manners,I was in the Dunes along the beach playing as bst, nobody was around the closest people were running around looking for VE I'd been on the beach for about an hour when a party arrived,

They were constantly being attacked by the bounty hunter and sending me tells for help, then after about the 5th time I was fighting myself so was unable to help them,
then I got 6 checks on me and told " lvl 25 should be at Quifum please move" I was soooo annoyed

I explained I was staying here till I hit 26 and I didnt feel able enough to go there yet.
then I got called the "N" word

Just accept we play the game with rude freaks, somehow we all get by but I think they were ready to move on to pugils which they could see me already fighting,

But in my experience in playing respect has ALWAYS been a thing that is lacking in the game!

I guess I'll have to adjust my playstyle again, and reinstall JP POL because frankly, i don't know how much more I can take. I partied again lastnight with a 5 japanese, and everything with smoothly, decently EXP/Hour, went from 11-14 in a about 1.5 hours. Everyone was using food, ect.

Back to JP primetime hours of EXPing for me I guess.

It hasn't always been that way. When I started playing at the NA PS2 release it was stunning how practically everyone in the game was polite and friendly and helpful. I guess that class of player has just gotten eroded and diluted over time.

I find if you dont like parties like the ones youve been getting, like me, make your own because you can usually tell how crap someones going to be from thier search comments. Only rule, never invite someone without a comment, 9/10 they are complete gimps.
