  • COR, PUP and BLU dodge the Dynamis Bullet?

    http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/event/sep2007/

When will the "AF2" for the three new jobs be introduced?
The date of implement still hasn't been decided. However, we don't feel Dynamis will (be) part of the picture.
All I can say is THANK GOD.

Question is how we'll get them otherwise. They already pulled the craftable AF nonsense on us, so I doubt they can repeat that... without death threats from me at least.

Interesting news. I hope they don't go the crafting route either. That'd suck.

Well, while unlikely, if WotG isn't exclusive to the middle lands, maybe their relics can be found in the past?

Just a thought. I wouldn't bet anything on it at all.

Is this really good news? What if their Relic gear require another large group operation with low drop rate? Instead of piggy back onto the existing Dynamis runs, can you imagine a PUP shouting:

        "{Puppetmaster} AF2 {feet} {Help me out!} 2/64 {Anyone} {Can I have it?} T_T"
        Bamboo shadows sweep the stars,
        yet not a mote of dust is stirred;
Moonlight pierces the depths of the pond,
leaving no trace in the water.

I'd imagine it'd be worked into whatever zone/instance these "comprable" AF2 gears show up in, to be honest. You can't have other jobs just helping the three jobs get AF2s, so there's gotta be something in it for the other jobs, too.

Alternative ways to get abjurations are coming in this update, so i'm betting v2s would be August/September update.

Its cool there's will also be new ways to get abjurations and LSes can just go that route instead of having to slave away on kings all the time, but it does beg the question of how people will go about getting Black Belts and Ridills if LSes no longer want to prioritize Kings.

Here's hopeing SE covered that angle.

I'm thinking they will introduce the AF2 for the news jobs in Einherjar.
              Einherjar
Einherjar is an ever-changing multi-player dungeon battle based in the Hazhalm Training Grounds. Here is some of the information revealed at the party:

              1. The monsters appearing in the dungeon change each time, so a balanced party is required to complete the mission objectives.
              2. From 6 to 36 people can enter the area at once.
              3. An item similar to the hourglass used for Dynamis will allow parties to reserve one of the multiple areas, and will be required for entry.
              4. The multiple areas consist of rooms filled with several weaker monsters, and one boss monster.
              5. After a party chooses a room, they will have 30 minutes to wipe out all the enemies before being teleported back out of the area.
              6. The monsters may drop items that cannot be obtained anywhere else.
              7. An Assault-like point system will be implemented, and points earned can be used to purchase various items.

                Einherjar...
                3. An item similar to the hourglass used for Dynamis will allow parties to reserve one of the multiple areas, and will be required for entry.
hmmm... doesn't sound like they've learned the lesson from Dynamis regarding reservation vs instancing. I guess we can keep our fingers crossed that it still works out.

It won't be Einherjar. SE has said they're not sure how to implement it yet, and we STILL haven't gotten ToAU end-game.

My guess is that's where it will be, in the end-game area.

I'm sure it will be pretty hard to do one of these at first, but seeing as there's a 30 minute limit and no mention of time extentions, it should be a bit easier to deal with even if it isn't instanced.

Perhaps they just forgot to mention it was instanced, though?

That's it so far, but the story's going somewhere. Odin wouldn't cause all this trouble for nothing, he's gotta start Ragnarok. He's chosen his warriors.

                            Actually it isn't.

There was an interview with Sage Sundi a while back stating that Salvage and the other stuff are just mini-games, and we have yet to get the real end game stuff.

I don't think Sage Sudi has the proper grasp of what a mini-game is. To me, that would chocobo stuff, venture roll and The Pit.

Salvage and Nyzul Isle strike me as endgame side-quest material.
