Paying to SE has actually saved you tons of money (and not just in car inssurance).

Take a regular week's schedule for example:

-Monday to Thursday - Leveling a low level jobs, getting merits, doing Dynamis runs etc. instead of going out and risk your life on the streets. You save $20-200+ a day plus all the expenses of getting into jail, hospitals etc.
-Friday - CoP missions instead of going to a night club, and you'll get a hangover anyway! You save $200-$1000+
-Saturday - Dynamis run instead of going out for dinner. You save $100.00-$300+
-Sunday - Power play instead of doing chores or making a trip outside the city. You save $10-$2000 depending on your habits.

So, while it seems you've payed a lot to SE for playing their game you have in fact saved many times that money.

My suggestion: Get 16 content IDs for your account and get another account with another 16 IDs just to thank SE for their service.
It doesn't help when my girlfriend drags me out every friday - sunday. I still end up paying that on top of my ffxi fees :p

Be fortunate. You can say you have a girlfriend.

I'm not sure what lesson we're supposed to come away with regarding the BST MPK patch in relation to SE's customer service.
        1. It's good that SE doesn't listen more closely to the player community, because they will simply botch things up?
        2. It's good that SE doesn't listen more closely to the player community, because the player community will just come up with a half baked solution?
        3. It's fruitless for SE to listen and respond to player complaints, because you can't please everyone all the time and there will always be a large portion of the player base will complain about any given change, regardless of what it was?
        Yes, exactly.
