Re: Alexander!? O_o
I don't really understand how Alexander can be a biotechnological weapon, and at the same time be the celestial avatar of light. But he's right there in the star charts that have been around since release.
As Malacite points out, Odin's protocrystal is broken (which may have something to do with why he's posessing people). Who knows what it would take to restore it, if it's even possible at all.
As for the light protocrystal, I think the Moblins may have found it, and that's what all that "iron giant" stuff in the CoP storyline was about. What connection that has to the Alzadaal Ruins, I dunno. Maybe there's a spirit form of Alexander that's more like the other avatars, and the physical body was built in order to amplify his power, or restore it after his protocrystal was also broken? (And then used in the war against Ephramad, although I doubt that was its original purpose since I think it's actually of Olduum origin.)
I'm pretty sure that SE knows where they're going with this (storyline-wise, at least; they may or may not have decided yet whether they're going to add another summon), and it will make sense eventually, but right now there just aren't enough clues.
