  • Any chance thatr Se will fix the search lists

I am generally happy about the search function except for 2 things.

    1) why is it that when a list get truncated there is no way of seeing what gets cut-off? If the hole idea of the search feature is to make it somewhat easier to find people, then what good is cutting off the list(in some cases it cuts off close to 95% of the list). (a little side note-I know about the /sea all command but it doesn't help if you don't know who to look for)

    2) why cant you search for a lvl range in more than just the area you are currently in.This would again make it a little easier to get parties together if you could search all lvl x's in zone Y when you are in zone Z(even if its accross the world)-this situation came up the other night where as a lvl 39 party in the Crawlers nest we needed to search for 1 replacement. Instead of searching all lvl 39-40 in the world, we had to search each zone separatly(sp).

Other than these tweaks I dont see any problems with the search feature.
u have to know when to hold them, know when to fold them

    I don't understand; what's wrong with using:
    /sea all 39-40 inv
    ?

    Seems to work for me...

    yet not a mote of dust is stirred;
Moonlight pierces the depths of the pond,
leaving no trace in the water.

As to number two, you are able to search all in a level range. /sea all 39-40. There you go.

I agree about the truncated thing, but your second point is something that is already in the game.

There isn't anything wrong with the search feature. You just need to learn how to use it better.

If you are using the search buttons from the menu then each one you add is incremental, it doesn't replace the others. i.e if you press search, then choose a level range, you can then add another condition, e.g. area->all areas and it will search for people in all areas in the level range you specified.

Or as people have said above you can use the command line. I imagine the cut-off is probably due to memory restrictions or some such technical aspect.

You can. "/sea "Zone Name" 12-15 inv" or "/sea ZneNm 12-15 inv"

moved to General Discussion as it looks more like the OP just didn't know the intricacies of /sea

                Thanks Yyg!

That's why I wish the X-box 360 version came with a better command guide-my bad didn't know about the /sea all lvl

I was more interested in if there was any way to see what's being cut-off without searching in each zone.

I'd be happy if they just fixed the 'Find Member' command under the Party menu. That used to actually be a useful function.
