How the hell do you get to map 3!?


I've died twice now trying to get to this retarded coffer. According to FFXI Atlas, it's on Map 2 near Exit E. but none of the maps say how to get down there. there's 3 big boulders blocking my path.

currently lying dead in Kuftal, increddiably pissed off atm!!!!

It's the one @G-9 on from the 2nd link. - _ - I got my QSC coffer earlier no problem. Now this BS.

there is 1 chest spawn right behind those rocks. on other side of rocks there are also tigers which are sight agro. this is where i found my chest for drg rse. you have to wait for the rocks to fall out of the roof then you can go thru. im not sure of timer but i think its 15 minutes, may only be 10 but seems like forever trying to stand there and not agro anything. good luck and its like everything else in this game very frustrating to do, very rewarding to finish.

You just gotta wait some time and eventually one of the boulders will move and the path wil be open (for a little time). Just make sure you Sneak and Invis up because mobs there aren't very friendly.

Also if you happen to see Pelican solo it and send the Shield to my moghouse @ Fenrir.

You have to wait till the boulders sink. Not as bad as me trying to get my oldton map. Everytime it respawns it spawns near the newton zones. So I have to open those god forsaken gates.

For the Kuftal map I just checked the easy pops near the Western Altepa entrance whenever I went there for a party. It didn't take too many visits to find.

Some coffers will just decide to be bitches to you. It took me probably twelve hours over the last three years to finally get my QSC coffer key for my map.

It wasn't finding the coffer so much as getting the key. I never got one after all the exp parties, NPC leveling, skillups, etc that I did there. I think I finally got it while helping someone camp some blm pants there.

Oh, and I got the coffer. Just gotta do Darkspark now and then get my Uggalepih coffer >< (thank GOD I had all my keys in advance from levelling war)

yep, olton map is the fucking WORST, chest always spawns near the switch, which needs 3 people to trigger if i'm not mistaken.
