Account & Character Question

Not sure where to post this or if anyone have asked this yet... so here it is.

I have 2 Accounts so far, one is my main account which I play mostly and one is my friends account who is on retirement and I've been using for PLing and crafting. I just bought a 360 and bought another account so I can play on the 360. I made a character on my Second account (the one I borrowed from my friend) for my son, who is really getting into it.

Will SE transfer a character to a different Account? has anyone done it before?... I want my son to have his own account just in case my friend returns and I don't want him to get too far and then having him start over. The real reason was, I was able to get his name on his Character and I would like to keep that for him. Or maybe my question is, can I transfer a name to another account?

i dont think they will split and id from an account =/, as for the name thing if you delete your sons character "bob" the name now becomes free. So he could make "bob" on your new account from the 360.

and there is no waiting period? the name becomes open as soon as I delete it?

Yes, it becomes available again as soon as you delete it.

My husband and I had the same issue. We both started on one account, but we both liked the game so much we ended up getting another computer and another account so that we could both play at the same time. He was level 21 at the time and I was level 17, but we decided because I had done more quests and more crafting that we'd keep my character on this account and he'd start over. I PL'ed him to about 12 so he could catch up a bit quicker, though, as kind of paying him back for making him start over.

Look on the bright side, least you didn't share a character. Used to know a couple that did that...worked alright for them...until the messy divorce.

Originally we shared a mule, before we knew that just one mule was hardly adequate. We pay twice as much so we can both play, but it's worth it.

my ex has my second account she used it for storage but meh thats why i have 15mules on my main account lol
