Tarutaru Name's

Ok I am a newb to the game I just now got done getting my content ID, I have made my character and now I want to name him, but the only problem is, I dont know what to name him. So I am asking you all in this forum, can you please thank of some Taru, names for me? I will forever be in your debt if you do so, also what server do you think I should join? it says I can pick any server I want. thanks for your time!

Also I didnt know ware to put this so please dont get mad at me.

you can use the auto name generator if you wish (hit '+' on the keypad in the name box) or the ever popular choice of naming him after food

lol the name generator is to long of names...also wont I get made fun of if I name it after food? cocotruffle? Iscreamz? etc... lol

My experience is that a lot of Taru name themselves after food, especially pastries, and it's not at all limited to the female ones. I think if you really wanted to do that you'd fit right in. Naming characters has always been the hardest part for me.

If you are talking about Vana'diel...

Tarutaru Males have a pair of semi-rhyming names... like Tatomuto or something

Tarutaru Females have to repeating sounds at the end of their name, uh for a lack of a better word(quite tired atm)... like Resatata or Mutoto

Name really doesn't matter unless you roleplay. Lazy people like me will just abbreviate it anyway. Hell, I don't even know how to PRONOUNCE my name, I always just refer to him as Tek!

Shroo is a fine name, but I took the excuse to go digging through ancient Vana'diel Tribune archives to find the article on tarutaru naming conventions. ^^ I used to eat this stuff up.

Let's start with Tarutaru male names: "Aram-Param," "Baren-Moren," and of course we can't forget "Emanritan."

As you have noticed, the last part of a Tarutaru man's name rhymes with the first. It has been said that this is how ancient spells of the Tarutaru worked.

By the way, my name has no relation to any spells. My parents told me that they gave me a name that fit the moment. They wouldn't tell me any more about it...

Back to the subject at hand, let's have a look at Tarutaru female names. I think that "Finene," "Chomomo," and "Kerutoto" are all good examples.

As you can see from the examples of "nene," "toto," and "momo," the last two syllables of the name are the same. This syllable is not just assigned randomly.

Surprisingly, the names are based on the orientation of the child in relation to the famous Star Tree at the time of birth. All rather mystical, don't you think?

This ancient practice shows how much the Tarutaru have come to revere the Star Tree.

Perhaps this changes the way you see the Tarutaru.

Hey, Taskmage, thank you for that information thats interesting to know that I didnt get it at first but it makes sense..Its funny how he said, "my name has no relation to any spells. Hmm maybe I should start going around POL and see what else there is..maybe all learn somthing to help me. But, yeah thank you all for your help!!

Autoname generator comes up with some weird names.

My first mule was like Whogikumufiru or something.
