  • First Impressions of this Great Game.

Okay first and formost(sp) i'd like to thank SE for making soo many great games that have entertained me since "Final Fantasy". I really do appreciate them putting so much work into pleasing us. Some would say they only care about the money but something makes me believe that SE knows what its fans like and works hard to keep them. Im one of them. I've fallen in love with every FF i've played(all of them i think, at least in US). I know they all have their faults and some bigger than other but compared to other games??
what are we complaining about? We sometimes take advantage or get use to the fact that they are all good and critize them without reason.

    Anyways, Final Fantasy XI.
I've always wanted to have a moogle. And now i have one in my own apt!. ^^
and when i get higher level i can have a chocobo!.. these are dreams come true.
As well as an online Final Fantasy and I finally get to play it without having to hear anyone telling me to turn it off!.

lol. Those are minimal things that i like about the game. The game itself is a great mmorpg, especially since i dont think japan makes mmorpg(or at least a lot like US). lol.. i dunno.
which leads me to my next point and reason for this thread.

I've played a lot of mmorpgs as well so I'm not new to the basics. and the general idea.
Im new to the terminology and commands... among other stuff

    Moving on...
I have to say that im disappointed in the arrogance in this game.
I leveled up to 11 bymyself and happend to pass by dunes......... and someone invited me into party.... blind invite, mind you.. ><

anyways, in this party and the next one the next day (two diffrent people)
I couldnt help but notice how the other players make a n00b feel.
Noob cause im new(not stupid)... lol.. i know what a tank is and what its supposed to do......
i know about aggro and dying first to help party.. i know this stuff....

but it almost felt like if i wasnt doing everything how the leader asks, i was stupid and ridiculed..

now, i am a vibrant and young individual but i had no intentions of arguing on a mmorpg. lol.. it seems dorky..

so i let it slide and just played the game.... cause thats what it is.... a game.. it seemd like i was the only one aware that it wasnt anything real... lmao
but during the xp party couldnt help feeling like i was back in high school, like if i had to prove something..
i dunno.. it really pissed me off....

people should be nice to newbs, instead of "trying" to make them feel........isolated or even.....unwanted..
... we are wats gunna bring more players.
without newbs u'd have an old game....

ive had lvl 60 characters on other games and i'd treat new ppl better than old people..
i guess ppl in this game are diffrent..

it sucks too cause this is prolly the only thing bad i've expierenced in my first 4 days of playin the game...
    but it was really bad..

    thanks for hearing me out...

as for the good??? this game will be in my ps2 for the next several months if not more.. lol.. i loVE IT!!!!

Re: First Impressions of this Great Game.

As for the parties? everyone lvld up at least once and rarely died so i couldnt have been doing ALOT bad.. like they were making it seem..
lol honestly?? from my past experience in mmorpgs, i wasnt doing anything bad..

thats why it was pissing me off so much..
which lead me to tank very good and made me more focused, yet the leader and his pansy friends kept on flaming and callin me noob..

its funny too cause i know if he saw me(in real life) he wont have the slightest urge to even come close to saying the things he was saying..

and i know i shouldnt generalize about a great game like this because of two miserable parties if whats in store for me ARE ALOT OF parties.. but still.. anyone else would have cried and told SE.. lmao.. im serious...

      that isnt right

Try not to think too much about parties in the dunes. It is a horrible place.... trust me.... if you meet good people or get into good party in the dunes, consider yourself VERY lucky.

Hope things will work out better for you the higher you get. It should.
