actually weren't that good, except for the qiqirn and mandragora prizes. A couple of the mythril prizes were alright too I suppose.


Gulkeeva's sigs have better artwork, sadly >_>

I have to admit. Some of those were kind of terrible. I saw much better work submitted by friends and folks I know from various FFXI communities.

I did like a few of them though.

Some were nice (I called them "above average stuff on Gulkeeva's site"). Others weren't so nice and I have no idea how they made it to the finals.

My favorite is probably the Shiva picture, although the DRK was at least different...not anime, while still not being ugly.

Ouch, you guys are kind of harsh. (Then again when I saw that Napoleon Dynamite-esque Mithra sketch, it gave me hope that my sketch would make it up there XD)

Judging by the selection, it looks like they purposely chose vastly different images based on subject, style, and execution. That's not a bad way to go since it makes things more interesting.

I personally liked "Peach Tower," the winning entry, "I am a Lady Of Vanadiel," "A President Under the Blossoms," "Cherry colored Breeze," "Cherry Blossom Tower" (it's cute and quirky, what can I say). The "Bard" one also has a very nice background.

My WTF Awards go to "The Beauty that is Mithra" and "Minority Women."

As for those works that were not chosen for a prize, we will be displaying all entries received for the contest at a later date. Please check back here for details!

... I wonder how they're going to accomplish that.
