THERE'S NO WAY IT WILL ATTACK MULTIPLE TIMES.

WHY everyone is trying to figure out latents to make it attack more than once is beyond me. If it worked like that, people would DW it with KC. Tada! that helped game balance so much! My guess is that there is a hidden effect, and that it probably has to do with the number 8 or music. My guess is that the effect will be anything under the sun except multi-hits.

People on KI testing for music were like "let's try every song in the book, and see if any of them make me multi-attack." Did any of them try... I dunno... seeing if Minuet's benefit increased? Maybe if a BRD uses it, it gives all their songs+1? (an octave "higher" in game terms could be normal effect +1).

But actually, I expect that there's some method of increasing it's base damage. There's the Tredecim method and the Company method - neither of which I've seen tested so far. Hell, it could be "has 8 debuffs on at the time." Marlboro slayer.

Nobody would dual weild this with KC except maybe RNG or COR. Their extra TP is their strong point, not their damage

I do agree though that it's somewhat unlikely that this attacks multiple times, personally i'd like to see what SE's cruel jokes are all about (in fact, i'm gonna post a thread on that)

I've got a sick theory. You need the kraken club to activate the latent on the Octave club. There you go.

Actually, I was reading over some posts last night, and the theory above might be incorrect. Apparently attacks are limited to 8 times per round/WS, so it would be impossible to go over that, no matter the circumstances...although two weapons would boost rates up extremely high, it would still be limited to 8 strikes.

I think 2 swings (from dual wield) would be able to hit that limit twice -- or else, if you swung 8 times with KC while Dual Wielding, you'd simply not get to swing with your offhand weapon (IF you were main handing KS for some reason).

Theoretically, a THF with KC/ Justice sword could get 8 swings off of the Kraken and 2 attacks to proc on the Justice sword - and have both Justice swings Triple Attack. That would be fun.

However, for a single hit, it's supposedly impossible to swing more than 8 times (though it's impossible to hit that many times anyway). Weapon Skills are apparently proven to only be able to go up to 8.
