Hey all im new just want to ask two questions

Hey as u already guessed im new and will b joining soon, i have read many threads about the game and have chosen to try WAR/THF.

I dont know what server i will b joining so asking some1 to help me is pretty useless i guess =p

I jus wanted to ask thirty day free subscription: i jus finished registering on playonline and was wonderin has my free sub time started? or does it start when i play FFXI?

Also next question i wanted to know about billing, i know that it is a basic cost of £8.99 per month but i wud like to know can we sort of choose when to pay for the fee, e.g. One month finishes but i choose not to pay for the next month till l8er because i got work to do therefore i cancel it and pay again when i can restart playing when i have a month with little business? (sorry if that was hard to understand)

I wud also like to say Hi all and hope u are a cool cummunity becasue i have jus stopped play SRO which has a Greedy and Hateful community also full of bots =p

OK hope to get a reply ASAP i will contnue browsing

i Believe it starts once you register you PoL id. And you pay at the start of every Month So ie April 16th i believe for you. One of the mods may know better, but you wont see too many bots overall minus a Endgame. Good Luck every server has nice people and asses like in real life. Your trial starts the day you register your POL account and what not. That will last for exactly 30 days from now until then. On April 16 (or 14, or 15, or whatever day you started this month) your free trial will expire, and you will then be charged for the remaining days in the month. After that, I believe your account is charged at the start of every month, regardless of when your free trial expired.

Your free 30 days starts as soon as you register the account. The first time you are billed, your billing will be pro-rated for the rest of the month (if your free trial ends in the middle of a month), but after that you will always be billed on the first and for the full amount.

If you think you won't be able to play the following month, you just cancel (not delete) your Content IDs for a bit. If you want to return, just Reactivate them, but keep in mind that you will be charged the full month price, even if you renew mid or even most of the way through the month.

It might not show up until the 5th, but they start their billing process on the first.

You can change your job (and your subjob once it's unlocked) at your mog house, rent-a-rooms or nomad moogles. You can change as often as you want as long as you go back to one of those places to do it.

As far as I know there's no way to buy multiple months at a time and get a discount.

My understanding is that you pay monthly or a full year upfront, I don't recall and option for a set of months aside from those two options. Since others have answered questions, you may want to ask around further about servers.

I can say in regards to Titan that while there are some nice people, the server is really old and the majority of players are high level, so low level players struggle here now. And really, the high level players seem so flaky and focused on their own personal goals (as opposed to being part of a team) that many of my friends are considering moving to a new server for a fresh start when SE allows us to.

So Titan I wouldn't recommend. You're fortunate in that you have the option to pick servers now, as the original players never got that option, we were randomly placed on a server. I'm sure someone here would be willing to invite you into thier linkshell and show you the ropes on their server.

Here is some advice about this game: Don't go choosing what you'll be before you play. I mean sure, pick one of the first 6 (WAR being the best for melee jobs you have to unlock). Nothing will be exactly as you think.

Another tip: If you change your mind and want to start as a RDM or THF, start as a WAR. THF and RDM get crappy daggers and daggers suck in general at that level, but WAR gets a sword both of those jobs can use.
