  • Scorp Harness

While browsing the AH i noticed as RDM I could wear the scorp harness.

Is this a worthwhile piece to get (for RDM)?

My AF gives slightly more DEF, but obviously not the ATT and EVA boost. So what Im trying to say is, does the Att and Eva boost negate the -4 Def?

    For solo use, of course.

I plan to lvl NIN to 75 as well, so I'd probably get it for that, just wondering if there was any merit in getting it a little earlier.

for solo use its nice. you dont need it but if you can get it, go for it. its good for a lot of jobs so if you play something else, you can put it to use too.

As a RDM though, I'd seriously suggest putting it pretty low on your list of gear to buy. It's useful for solo, but that's it. You can certainly do without it.

And +10 to Evasion certaintly won'y make or break our very "supreme" evasion.

The 10 Acc definiately helps, but if you're considering /NIN, stock up on Haste gear (Expensive) and/or Damage reduction.

RDMs biggest benefit from /NIN is that we have Fast Cast and Haste to shorten the timers, and being as we have no evasion, we pretty much hinge on having both spells readily accessible.

I don't think any equip in this game is a must. Buy something that helps your natural job to rock more than you usually do. But scorpion harness for red mage? Not a must unless you have plenty of gil to use (or waste). For a red mage, your body AF rocks more than scorpion harness.

For WAR, the end-game "start saving your gil for it now cuz you will eventually want it piece" is certainly Hauby. If you can't afford Hauby, then Royal Knights Chainmail or Jaridah Peti is a decent hold over.

SH for a WAR past 59 is icing on the cake, and should never replace Hauby.
