Updates slow...?

    Updates slow...?

    Hey, I'm downloading the current update and it's going really slow, something like 10 hours before it completes (which is 3 times longer then a full update from a fresh install), I was just wondering if I'm not the only one or something is going wrong on my end? I'm currently updating my media center, and then I've got to update my gaming PC, and if I'm looking forward to 20 hours of updates total I'd kinda like to know....

    I only have one POL id so i can't try the update on the other computer to see if that one goes faster or not without killing the original one (which has been running for 1.5 hours and is only 10% complete).

    PS - I'm really liking the adjustments with the Signet system and the XP bonus for smaller parties. From what I've read on the developer's thing, seems like it's going to make my duo's and trio's go much faster...now if only it would FINISH!!!!! >.<

        I started downloading at about 3PM EST, and it said it would take an hour. By 7PM, it was saying it would take another 8 hours. Now it's getting a bit more reasonable, estimated to finish downloading by midnight for me.

        It's just a lot of fairly large files and a whole bunch of people downloading them, I think.

        EDIT: Or it is just us, hehe. Maybe we both happen to have crappy connections today, though I've been able to surf the net quickly enough.

          It's up to about nine HOURS here.

          It has to be the prime time. Man I wish I would have downloaded when I was brousing at school.

            Updated one computer earlier; less than two hours, total. Later in the day, started version update on another computer... It says 10 hours or so. lol. T_T

              My guess is a lot of people are experiencing a slow download (myself too) because, well, a lot of people are trying to download the patch minutes after the update is released and the servers went back up.

              I'm at 30% with (apparently) 5:52 (hh:mm) left to go.

                Weird. I only downloaded it about 12 minutes ago or so. If this isn't NA prime time, I don't know what is.

                  Mine's working on just over 3hrs but it has crapped out on me three times. It's actually in the install phase right now. So hopefully it will be set in another 15 minutes or so.

                  I did check in earlier to see how big the file was and what it guessed the download and install processes would be. I think the fastest one it said was 37 minutes. It then said if you had a PS2 with out CoP or ToAU installed it would take 6 hrs. Holy hell!

                    I hadn't even planned to play tonight. I was just downloading it in preparation for tomorrow when I think I'm doing some BCNMs. I may not be though. I don't even know.

                      Hmm. Maybe European players are actually downloading off some different file servers? 7 hours and 45 min on my download, currently. x_X

                        Well the Xbox version gave up on giving me an estimate, but before it switched to unknown it did say over 10 hours @.@

                        Computer version is at a steady 9 hours no matter how much it downloads <.<

                        Guess I'll be calling in sick to work and just playing all day tomorrow.

                          Down to 4.5 from what said 10.5 about 10 minutes ago. Hopefully, if I don't keep getting kicked off, I'll be done in a couple hours. Had plans to try out the new assaults tonight. Hopefully I'll get a chance.

                            I'm not European. I live in Ohio.

                            edit: It was probably closer to half an hour now that I think about it. I only looked when it was about halfway done.
