Help me keep interest =3

I've played Lineage 2 for a long time. Everyday that goes by I keep thinking "Ugh, i'm just getting behind in levels on that game from playing FFXI".

I have a very love/hate relationship with Lineage 2 but I keep going back to it.

I would like it if whoever feels so inclined would post the utmost best things about FFXI. Also, if you have played Lineage 2, please tell me the utmost cons of that game.

I'm pretty much asking to be converted =3.

1. I know the storyline is one of the best I have seen.

2. Job system - your not locked into 1 job or 1 job/subjob (guildwars)

I am kind of in the same boat as you but opposite. I've tried Guildwars, D&D online, but always come back to FFXI. I've never left for more than 2 weeks. I miss the storylines, my character of course, and the realism of the game I guess. Not cartoony like some mmo's (coughWoWcough). I know its not perfect but it is my favorite.

For me I haven't played for a long time. But one thing that I like about FFXI is the people. Unlike most game, majority of the people that play FF are friendly and nice. On a rare occassion you'll bump into some idiot and stuff.

Well I for one hate the fact that every PC MMORPG is all layed out the same. Assign a spell to a number, press "I" for inventory, drag drop new items here and there. It all get old for me. Even though its not, they all feel like the same game to me. But thats just me. FFXI is different, the characters have a much more realisistic and original feel. They move better, the whole engine is different from all the other MMORPGs. Storyline. Job system. SOUNDTRACK. Sounds in general. Only thing lacking is voice acting which could be cool if done right (ex FF12). Theres lots more, but you get the gist of it.
