Example; Retro Studios just pushed Metroid Prime 3 back another 4 months or something, as opposed to the previous spring release. At least Windows Vista is finally out, but then there's all those bugs with the PS3 and Sony's failed promises....

You know going in that whatever MS and Sony release will not be as high quality as something Nintendo or SE might. I sure as hell would give a company like Blizzard the benefit of a doubt before Bethesda. You live and learn.

But MMOs aren't single player games and when you have thousands of players running around your virtual world - some finding problems, some creating them and some explioting them - you want to make sure you got most of the problems out before players are let loose in it.

My guess is that this delay means SE is dropping XI to work on the next gen MMOG.

i got to see one of those little glowing guys up close. i was in a shop in santa monica california yesterday and this guy had one. he said that the day before, some guy came around in a jeep frantically taking them down. he asked for it and the guy gave it to him.

it has 4 D batteries and a photo sensor so they only turn on when its dark :D very cool.

apparently, these were up in nyc for month or so and they did not get any 911 calls for them. i guess the new england area has nothing else better to do now since their oh so beloved patriots lost. bwhaha.

back to the topic at hand. whats with all the sensitive people on the board now? zomg, they didnt update once. ffxi is going to go offline in 2 months. sell your characters, hurry!!!!!

Sage Sundi just did an interview where he specifically mentioned the delays for things like chocobo racing and the coliseum. He also said the endgame content for ToAU has yet to be released. They also confirmed another expansion is in the works.

Also, why as people so aggressively defending SE on this? No one is even saying anything about SE, simple noting the silence. Jeez, calm down and stop acting like SE's lawyers.

I think they will tell us within two weeks of the update, if they do update in February.

You see aggression where there is none, we're simply stating reality. This thread is just yet another in a long pointless line featuring people griping about delays. Its part of gaming, live with it.

We could have it like Sony does it: If it's broke, don't fix it just make them buy the next one. (See: SOCOM, Everquest)

Remember back to a 'What do you do for a living thread.' Like half the people here work in IT. Most of them also probably have do deal with the same crap all damn day from idiot users.

At what point did I say I don't like the game? I just don't like how SE handles certain things, like the random changes to various aspects of the game that they never mention. Like changing 4 shadow NMs in Fei'Yin for example. It's the lack of info from SE that bothers me from time to time. God forbid a person should vent their frustration now and then.


Anyway, w/e. I'm through, the mods or whoever should probably lock/delete this topic in favor of the more important ones.
