Oh, they'll always dispel the DEF boost. That can really slow a party down. The Stoneskin isn't worth the bother, because it's already gone by the time the spell lands.

WAR with GSword/Spear/Anything but one or two handed Axe: "I'm skilling it for my (DRK/DRG/PUP/MNK/Whatever)"

News flash: When you level other jobs, weapons level with you!
Up until about level 30, I'd say that Gsword/Spears are viable options for warriors, after the jungles it's a different story, with the exception of bats in Garliage Citadel, a spear might still be better on them than a Gaxe.

My favorite most annoying thing? Those lovely Boost macroes, you know the ones

You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be misqouted and then used against you.

Re: Things you don't want to hear when you're invited to a PT.

Unless there's a dire need to open Distortion, why would any WAR prefer spear or two-handed sword of any kind over two-handed axe and the lovely Shield Break and Sturmwind? >_>

While I do appreciate a well prepared WAR who brings a weapon to open Distortion in case it's needed by the party, I would hardly be upset if a WAR doesn't. On the other hand, a WAR without an axe or two-handed axe just makes me wish for a replacement, either for him or for me...

It doesn't mean it can't work unless it's axe; the best low level WAR player I've ever met was a JP WAR/WHM in Yhoator Jungle, who used Acid Bolt to lower mob's defense, a two-handed sword to open Distortion, and backup healed more than the noob RDM in the party. Also, provided emergency provoke when the tank lost the monster to the back line, and used juice to replenish MP.

In her search comment, though, she clearly stated she also has one-handed and two-handed axe.

          * * *

From PLD: "lol I don't need a shield! Besides, this great sword makes me look bad ass!"
Translated from a noob-speak PLD's grand declaration at Qufim Island, while he was munching on meat mithkabob after being reminded that he should use food.

I've wielded GSwords, Scythe, Swords, and H-to-H during my brief WAR careers (on different mules, etc.). Yes, it's doable, and sometimes dependant on the level you can get a higher DPS with a different weapon. And if asked to tank /nin, I normally go Axe/Sword to mitigate some of the horrid delay.

But that last line is true for me too. I always walked softly and carried a big axe. I've also made a lot of big bad melee Galka/Elvaan cry by showing them just how high my damage goes ^.^

Just today, leveling my WHM subjob in Altepa Desert.

                              *Blind invite from random stranger*
                              *Accepts out of curriosity*
(Me) By the way, it's usually it's nice to ask someone before you invite them.
(Other PT member) Umm... Why do we have 3 WHMs?
*Checks PT member list. WHM WHM WHM PLD PLD WAR*
(PT Leader) lol we have 3 fightrs and 3 helers it perfect balance
                              (Party) ...
*Frenzy of disbanding at high pace insues*

Ended up grabbing a PLD, the WAR, and a RNG, a DRG and another WAR that was seeking. It was a very decent party. About 6k/hour untill the RNG hit 64.
