    Returned Player

    I have been gone for two months and just wanted to get an aoppion on something.

    If you have been gone for a while, is it easer to just jump back on your old character or to just start over?

    Anytime I've taken a break (on a month long break currently; getting back into it in February), I don't find it difficult at all to pick up with the same old character. I don't think you could pay me to start over completely. I mean, your existing character probably has at least something going for it.

      Word on the street is that the playing population is very skewed toward players who are already at end-game, spending much of their time meritting. So starting over from scratch may actually be harder than picking up with your old character.

      Partying for exp is like riding a bicycle. You might be a little rusty, but it all comes back rather quickly.

        I'v been comeing in and out for around 3 months. Every time I get the urge to get on and level my WAR or do a mission on RDM it takes me a few min but I get right back into it. The only proublem I some times have is figureing out what mule I have my gear on.

        No Ifs Ands or Buts about it.

          I am one who came back and started over. It is not hard - there are still people leveling new characters and new jobs. I did not want to slide back into the same old thing, and I enjoy my new character. It is nice to experience it all again.

            Ditto here. I gave my old account to a friend and i didn't play for like a year. Started a new char on a new server (totally different, went from hume to taru, bastok to windhurst, melee to mage :D) and after playing for several months on and off my friend emails me that i could have my account back if i wanted since he's bored playing. And i'm like hmmm ... but i'm already into my new char so i guess i'll just keep going with him
