Re: Newb vs. Noob & Elistis vs. ????
I'd say many things about Yeargdribble, but whether you classify him as one thing or another, he knows what he's talking about, and has the playing experience to prove it. I've never known him to talk down to anyone here that didn't honestly deserve it (I don't really count BG forums since it's a totally different environment over there and you really have to project a different image to survive).
It's refreshing to see someone who has endgame experience who is willing to share their experience; most people who are not involved in endgame really don't understand how much endgame LS's resemble secret societies. A lot of endgamers don't talk publicly about what they do, much less how they do it. Blue Gartyr is one of the few places where endgamers can kick back and shoot the breeze while trading (mostly harmless) tips on the more exotic strategies that apply only to endgame.

As far as elitism goes, you don't have to be level 75, just misinformed. I've met a fair number of people who were elitist jerks who didn't even have a single job past level 60. Elitism is more noticeable in level 75+ players, but they don't have a corner on the market.
