SE ads on POL

I just logged back on and saw these little banner ads at the bottom of my POL viewer. One for "Square-Enix Music," one for FFXI and a third for Valkyrie Profile 2.

Tried clicking on them as there was a rollover sound when I hit them, but... nothing. SE Music kinda made me curious, I've really been wanting to not have to import their soundtracks anymore, that banner is getting my hopes up.

For those who just dart through PlayOnline, and may not know what the bbqkitten speaks of:

The arrowed area is the focus.

All these basically do is you click them, you get a window that asks if you wish to go to their official site, and if you click yes, your default browser will open up and take you to that particular game/department's official site.

Think of it as another way to advertise things.

The Japanese PlayOnline Viewer has kinda-sorta done this in the past, creating special sections in the PlayOnline Viewer for FFVII: AC, EverQuest II, FFXII, etc. Why they didn't just do the same for the NA/EU Viewer, I just don't know, lol.

I'd totally go to the JP SE music website all the time if I knew Japanese. The NA one is never updated. At least with anything "neat."

My POL moves like molasses since I've returned. I don't know if it has anything to do with the ads, but I do know it's obnoxious.
