I can't get on FFXI =( I can't get a ID!

I have been gone for a while from FFXI and I can't log in I am getting error messages like (the network is busy or no answer from server) and Error code Pol-0011 and I wanna renew my Account and can't. is it on my side or theres?
Also how do i fix connection info (its been a while i forgot)

Sounds like its on your side. Perhaps maybe your firewall is blocking it or if you have a proxy set up or a router may be blocking it.

i can get on POL but, I dont have a Content ID someone told me that the servers are having work done on them and I wont be able to get a ID till the 10 he said that that message pops up when u login. But, i dont have a Content ID =(

The servers are going through maintenance right now, there was an announcement on the game a little while ago.
