  • One Small Question, because you all are so helpful :) .

The Job Trait "Clear Mind," it increases MP Recovered while healing. But does anybody know by exactly how much?

I'm not a mage, so I wouldn't have an exact answer. I'd guess maybe 1 or 2 extra ticks. Not a huge noticable difference, I'm sure, though.

      Hi,

http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/ will have the answer, but it is blocked to me at work.

From Main page select Jobs > Your Job, then look at Traits / Abilities.

It might be small, but +hMP is very important to mages.

Thank you for your help, but that particular article is fairly difficult to understand.

          Can somebody tell me the difference between "+12, +13, +14 . . ." and "+15, +16, +17 . . ." and "+21, +23, +25 . . ." directly translates to, because that's what confuses me.

Re: One Small Question, because you all are so helpful .

I think those are the exact amount of MP you recover each tick.

Normally, based on that page, you get 12 first tick, 13 second tick, 14 third tick etc.

It increases over time as you see.

Any items with +MP recovery will add a straight number to those.

Re: One Small Question, because you all are so helpful .

It means that it adds 3. Originally, you heal 12 MP per tick while resting. With Clear Mind you heal 15, Clear Mind II you heal 18, CM III, 21, etc. The +15, +16 +17... thing, is that each tick that you rest, you heal one more mp so that recovery moves on a little faster. Same goes with hp, every 30 seconds that you rest, you heal one more. That's also why +mp healing items are so helpful, because they allow you to heal more the first time, and it only increases from there.

Thanks to Roguewolf for the sig. :D

Re: One Small Question, because you all are so helpful .

+hMP isn't the only trait of Clear Mind. It actually increases the rate of progression at higher levels.

                  From FFXIclopedia:
                  Clear Mind III
                  Summoner Level 45
                  Black Mage Level 45
                  White Mage Level 50
                  Blue Mage Level 61
                  Red Mage Level 75
                  MP Per Tick: +21, +23, +25...

                  Clear Mind IV
                  Summoner Level 60
                  Black Mage Level 60
                  White Mage Level 65
                  Blue Mage Level 66
                  MP Per Tick: +24, +26, +28...

                  Clear Mind V
                  Summoner Level 70
                  Black Mage Level 75
                  MP Per Tick: +27, +30, +33...
Ordinarily, MP recovery per tick increases by +1 per tick. At Clear Mind III or IV, it increases by +2 increase per tick. And for Summoners and Black Mages, Clear Mind V gives +3 increase per tick.
