  • French/German Version

Since recently they added German and French language options, does this mean those clients are out now? I know in the past they were talking about them.

          Re: French/German Version

How do people in game generally interpret the language option? I set mine to E because I only speak English, but from comments here and some things I see in game, it seems like it is sometimes used to indicate who you are willing to party/associate with. I have no reservations about partying with people of any language, as long as the particular person isn't a jerk. By having that E by my name, am I effectively saying "English Only?" When I'm looking for party, I will put JP/EN OK in my search comment, but if people skip over me because of that E, then its kinda pointless.

Nibblonian: "Yes, except the Dave Matthews Band doesn't rock."'

I can hardly put any (useful) sentances together in Japaneese, but I can speak a bit so I have J/E in my comment and just say "I can only speak a little" in search comment.

Thats why I keep mine set to E. I've had JP/EN parties since then so it can't be that bad.

BTW to the OP, you probably would have to check a European retail site that ships to France and/or Germany to find out if the client is out and in order to order it. I doubt it will have any release outside the EU.

                Re: French/German Version

I was just wondering, I don't live in Europe and I don't speak those languages. Main reason I wanted to know is so that if the French/German players will see French/German in the auto-translator for when I try talking to some that are poor at English.

Anyway, I've always interpreted the language settings to mean "which language(s) do you know?", and the new system kind of confirms that is what it is for, IMO. So, I've always set my option on just E.
