How do you /invite people rapidly

Just got to level 36 WHM and am trying to make some money teleporting people to Dem, Mea and Holla.

Whenever I try to invite someone to teleport in Lower Jeuno, someone else always beats me to it. Some mages are teleporting several different people at a time, and I can't even get one.

Maybe a WHM (on a different server perhaps) will tell me the fastest way to invite a person. Currently I go to Search > Current area > Scroll down to name > Send Invite.

Usually, an exchange of /tell's will guarantee a Teleport. You can either shout for your services, and hope someone will send you a /tell.... or shoot a /tell to someone that is asking for a Teleport.

I mean when someone shouts "{Teleport-Dem} {Can I Have It} {Please Invite Me} {Reward:} 3000"

It is then a rush to invite the person before another WHM does.

How do you try to invite them? Do you /sea all name? Try just the first 3 letters of their name.

I'm not sure if there's a trick either, but there are two ways to do it. One is /pcmd add playername, and /sea firstcouplelettersofplayer'sname, find them in the search results, send invite. Two factors can affect the speed of this process: how fast you type, and how fast your game is processed. What I mean by the latter is that I play on PC/laptop and my GF plays on PS2, even when sitting next to each other, on the same wireless network, all things happen on her game about a half second before mine. I don't know how but her PS2 processes/runs the game just a little bit faster than my laptop, which has a very minimal install, maybe 24 processes running, including the game.

Don't give up though. Tele-whoring is a cutthroat business. Keep at it and you'll make some gil.

I forgot to mention this but the fastest is to sit there with /sea already typed in your chat log and wait for poeple to shout then type in the first couple letters of their name. If you wait for the shout then type in /sea you'll never get the tele.

Yeah, I know a few tele-taxis that make upwards of 50k in a few hours in Jeuno...and the way they explained to me is to sit ready at /pcmd add - as soon as the shout goes, its a race to get the name in.

Also, if you see several shouts for different areas, inv them all. Normally people dont mind going to Dem first for a drop off before heading to Holla, etc.

Yes... Some WHMs in our LS occasionally run taxi, and they say there's tons of competition. Invites are, indeed, a lot like an NM claim worth, on Asura, 2k apiece(-ish).

Some White Mages accept what is given, but will still politely cough and hold their hand out (e.g. initiate Trade if you don't). Some have been given up to advertising and what's more... Advertising high prices when the shout-readers charge much less (advertising 3k-5k/tele like there's a such thing as "premium" cab service).

I always used to stick to 2k per tele. But I have seen insane people OFFERING 10K for a tele....WTF!!

So are you saying if someone offered you 10k for a tle you wouldn't take it?

Personally I avoid any shout for 1k or less, or without a price, and never ask for less than what's offered. However, if I know the person asking for a tele, from PTies or whatever, I'll give it for free.

I wish I could sub Yhoat, for Altep I can either run to Rabao and change jobs or simply outpost (Xarcabard and B. Glacier are easier to outpost to), but for Yhoat I still can't outpost because Windy never has the region.

I offer 10k for a tele quite often, hell I even offer 10k for Raises if the zone is one or two away from a major populated area. I offer 50k if it's a more secluded area.

I do it mainly because those amounts have started to become chump change for me, could produce that amount rather quickly. I actually have a backed-up stock of farmed, gardened, and BCNM items. Not because I'm not putting them up to sell or not selling, mainly just because that 7 slot limit is slowing me down.

Even with 3 mules for a total 28 slots and I'm still slowed. Go figure

I'd just have "/pcmd add" already typed in at a given time and then type the name quickly.

Alternatively, if you aren't good at typing long names quickly with accuracy you could leave "/sea " typed in and as soon as they shout type a tad of their name, get the search return and hit invite.

However, a WHM with the /pcmd add method will beat you almost every time that way because of the search time.

Thanks everyone for all the advice.

Only had a short amount of time yesterday before a party, and tried some of the methods above.

I couldn't get the "/pcmd add Playername" to work. Do you need to be a Party Leader for this one to work?

With the /sea method, I found it easier moving about halfway down Lower Jeuno to just opposite the magic shop. There are less player characters on the screen here, and the search and invite seems to go a lot quicker.

Wish I'd called the thread "How to be the best Tele-whore" - lol. Thank to FatCharlie for that terminology.
